  1. 2012 Syrah, Viña Falernia
    redwine

    2012 Syrah, Viña Falernia

    (6x75cl)

Spicy aromas of pepper, vanilla and red fruit with a hint of liquorice underpinning the darker fruits on show. Full bodied on the palate.

  2. 2013 Château du Vieux Parc l'Héritage, Corbière

A charming and well-made wine, mature and expressive on the nose with notes of dark fruit, spices, cacao and tobacco. On the mouth, plum and fruity, with soft ripe tannins and a lingering finish.

  3. 2011 Côte Rôtie, La Madinière, Domaine Yves Cuilleron

Intensely purple/black in colour, almost opaque. The nose is a concentrated wall of spices, mineral tones and dark berry fruits. Deeply concentrated, tight and seriously well structured, the palate is immense in its breadth and length showing a wealth of blackberry, fruits of the forest and spiced, wooded flavours. The firm finish means you won't forget this one easily.

  4. 2012 Harmonie Cornas, Domaine Guy Farge

Dark ruby with very densely furled aromas of blueberry, violets, a hint of bacon and wet gravel. Cornas power and complexity on the palate with extremely well-knit elegance for one so young (as Guy says "it's not an old war horse"). Layers of very fine tannins show pedigree, but also extreme drinkability. Long

  5. 2009 Syrah, Maroccoli Planeta

Ruby red to deep purple tones. Intense and persistent on the nose with notes of black fruits like cherry and blackberry; chocolate, leather and spices integrated with creamy vanilla and nut coming from the wood. On the palate the wine is full bodied, velvety and warm. Ending with soft and sweet tannins and with a long sumptuous finish.

  6. 2010 Ixsir Grande Reserve Red

A nose saturated with Mediterranean character and exuberant aromas of ripe fruits and spices. Its concentrated, palate has a fine tannin texture and attractive lively black fruits which last through to a long finish.

  7. 2012 Columbia Valley Syrah, Chateau Ste Michelle

Produced by Chateau Ste. Michelle, the founding winery of Washington State, this Columbia Valley Syrah has an inviting velvety texture, brimming with red and dark berry flavours. The fruit is harvested from the Wahluke Slope vineyards, a site with ideal growing conditions for traditional Rhône varieties. The wine is given 18 months in oak barrels to give a smooth richness to this approachable, fruit-forward style.

  8. 2014 La Garenne Syrah, IGP Pays d'Oc

This deeply coloured Syrah has attractive cherry and pepper flavours which are offset by the wine's meaty and bitter chocolate aromas. Fullish palate with a great length, well-balanced and keen structure throughout.

  9. 2012 Crozes Hermitage Cuvée Albéric Bouvet, Domaine Gilles Robin

Vibrant aromas of plum with great texture and balance between front-mid-end palate. Fresh but rich with great sustain of flavour on the finish.

  10. 2013 St. Joseph Les Pierres Sèches, Domaine Cuilleron

Ruby red in colour with an elegant perfumed fruity nose of raspberry, blueberry, violet and pepper. Fruity, juicy and on the lean side, but firm on the finish.
