  1. 2011 The High Trellis Cabernet Sauvignon, d'Arenberg

    Cooler years in McLaren Vale always lead to incredibly expressive and highly varietal Cabernets.
    The High Trellis is no exception with an abundance of blackcurrant, violets and minty notes leaping from the glass.
    Beautiful bright purple fruits dominate the palate, countered by typical Cabernet characters such as red capsicum skin and fresh mint.
    The wine feels quite linear at this stage of its development and the combination of fruit and fine chalky tannins seems to go on and on endlessly.
    A wine that can be savoured now or allowed to develop for the next five to 10 years.

    Classic Pinotage aromas of spicy mulberries, plum pudding and cherries, with more subtle hints of smoky bacon. Juicy and accessible with a soft palate and delicious fruit concentration.

  3. 2012 Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC, Bricco San Giacomo, Ascheri

    Ruby red colour with garnet reflections. Full bodied bouquet, with a delicate violet scent. Dry on the palate, yet velvety, harmonious and very persistent at the same time. Very well balanced, with distinct class and style.

    Humilitat is born to reflect the essence of the Priorat with no oak artifice and a gentle extraction. We still perceive the garrigue and dark mulberry fruit typical of the area, yet the texture is delicate the tannins soft and the finish lingering.

  5. 2007 Finca Torrea, Marques de Riscal

    Cherry red with good depth of colour and few signs of evolution. Intense nose, with hints of dark fruit, spices and slight toasted nuances. Elegant on the palate with good structure, round, long with a fresh, fruity finish.

    Well-focused, with toasty, smoky blackberry and blueberry aromas. Concentrated, fresh, fruity, succulent and spicy palate. Delicious, mouth-watering middle palate. Aftertaste showing fresh, beautifully rich, ripe, fine and digestible tannin. Incredible ageing potential but also unbelievably delicious when young.

    Full bodied and elegant yet it has richness on the mid-palate. The emphasis is put on fruit
    flavours through gentle extraction methods.

    Red cherry and warm, earthy aromas precede a twist of spice. The palate is velvety and smooth with exceptional length.

  9. 2013 Carménère Reserva, De Gras

    Deep purple / red in colour with a full bouquet of spice, oak and black fruit and a firm but juicy palate. Offers plum, damson and curranty characters alongside well integrated toasty oak and layers of vanilla. Very good example of Carmenere.

  10. 2010 Cumaro, Rosso Conero, Umani Ronchi

    Ruby-red core, with garnet hues and an intense, full, ethereal and very persistent bouquet. The palate is harmonious, with hints of wild cherry and fruits of the forest.
