  1. 2013 Cruz de Piedra Garnacha, Bodega Virgen de la Sierra

    Ripe, fruity aromas precede spicy, warm summer fruits of redcurrant and blackberry. Well weighted with good length on the finish.

  2. 2010 The Ironstone Pressings GSM, d'Arenberg

    On the nose we are struck by the typical dark fruits. Plums, mulberries, fresh soil and more developed peaty like notes are all apparent, with an underlying lick of exotic Indian spice.
    An abundance of fresh fruits on the palate marry well with the more complex characters of quince paste, cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise and earthy beetroot. Driving the core of the wine is that vintage trademark in the form of graphite and wet stone. This wine, while appearing open and generous already, will continue to age well thanks to the lively line of acidity and the abundance of fine gritty tannins.

    Dark fruit and savoury characters leap from the glass, in particular there is liquorice and blackberry, laced with a hint of char.
    Complexity in the shape of iodine and soil like notes follow. The wine is powerful and structured.
    There is a plethora of sweet fruit character, plums and mulberries, but not a hint of fatness. Rather the wine is quite compact and focused.
    A powerful yet refined expression of Shiraz with balance, complexity and persistence.

  4. 2010 Barbaresco DOCG, Coste Rubin, Fontanafredda

    Barbaresco is a wine which demands attention and respect: for its prestigious history, which is the result of hard work, but above all on account of the splendid sensations it offers in the glass. It has a brilliant garnet-red colour, while the bouquet is complex, with ethereal, spicy overtones on well-balanced wood, intense vanilla, cooked fruit and cinnamon. Its deep, velvety and well-balanced flavour lingers on the palate, confirming the long ageing process which combines lavish nature with great technical skill.

  5. 2012 Selección de Familia Pinot Noir, Humberto Canale

    This Pinot Noir represents the best of the varietal in Argentina, it shows the terroir characteristics of the Alto Valle del Río Negro oasis. It is a mature wine, intense and elegant, rich in taste and flavour. This is the first Pinot Noir crafted in oak casks in the Argentine Patagonia, since 1999. The wine has an intense ruby colour, with purple reflections. On the nose it has complex fruity and spicy aromas. In the mouth it is medium bodied, velvety and smooth. Flavours of vanilla, tobacco and walnuts highlight the initial red fruit profile. The finish is long and persistent.

    Violet red colour. Intense notes of blackcurrant red, plum, raspberry, black cherry and spice. Fresh with a good balance between acidity, sweetness and sapidity.

  7. 2010 The Derelict Vineyard Grenache, d'Arenberg

    A concentrated wine with great depth and complexity by any standard. Oozing purple fruits, plums, blackcurrant and mulberry with just a hint of wild raspberry. These sweet fruits are countered by a raft of savoury notes, ranging from soil and meat through to cedar and nutmeg. The tannins are precisely sculpted, reminiscent of finely crushed china.

    Light, fresh and mineral with juicy red fruit and light, fine-grained tannins.

  9. 2013 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Organic, Colline Teramane, Montipagano

    Deep ruby red in the glass with a bouquet of cherries and a soft, smooth and mouthfilling body.

  10. 2013 Barbera d'Alba DOC, Vignota, Conterno Fantino

    A wine ruby red in appearance with cherry reflections. Elegantly scented with pleasant notes of cherry and sour cherry. Very rich extractions on the palate, persistent but simultaneously soft.
