  1. 2011 Beaune 1er Cru Les Chouacheux, Domaine Chantal Lescure

Light and bright with medium weight, ripe tannins and ripe red berry fruit, spice and pepper.

  2. 2012 Châteauneuf Reserve des Oliviers, Maison Favier

The grenache character predominates on the nose with plenty of raspberry fruit. A succulent attack is balanced by fine tannins and good acidity. The finish is marked by spice and blackcurrant.

    2014 Merlot, De Gras

    (6x75cl)

Intense, deep red in colour with an explosively fruity, varietal nose of ripe plums with fresh mint notes. The palate is mouth filling, with ripe raspberries and blackcurrants on the palate. Shows a firm structure, with good depth and soft tannins, a distinctly Chilean style.

  4. 2013 Carmenere Reserva, Viña Falernia

Deep in colour, green pepper, chocolate and vanilla notes on the nose, rich with ripe tannins and spicy aroma on the palate.

  5. 2012 EJ Church, Long Meadow Ranch

The nose has notes of blackberries, the briar patch, cedar, dried herbs and a hint of smoky black tea. The palate is structured and refreshingly generous with additional flavors of dried plums, cherry and cola. The well-knit tannins and pleasant mouthwatering acidity support a persistent finish laced with rich notes of cedar and vanilla.

  6. 2003 Morgenster Estate Red, Morgenster

    Colour: Saturated ruby red.
Nose: Sexy aromas of dark berries, cassis and kirsch, hints of chocolate and mocha.
Palate: The palate impression offers ripe fruit, bedded in finely knitted ripe tannins. All these combine to assail the palate with a level of density, structure and viscosity to offer an outstanding mouth-feel. A liquid velvet texture is transformed by a rocky, minerally element. A complete wine with a classic elegance and excellent finish.

  7. 2012 Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon, J. Lohr

Dark ruby-red in colour with aromas of cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry and violets. The bouquet is an elegant blend of vanilla, chocolate, truffles, cedar and thyme. Showing ripe and velvety soft tannins with a plump structure supported by good acidity that balances the ripe fruit and helps create an elegant and lengthy palate.

  8. 2012 Mourvèdre, Tormentoso

    2012 Mourvèdre, Tormentoso

    (6x75cl)

A complex nose of berry fruit that is complemented by Fynbos (heather/bracken) and spice aromas. Palate is layered with flavours of cloves, leathery spice and red fruit. A dry and savoury finish.

  9. 2011 The Gypsy, Ken Forrester Wines

The character is somewhat wild, a little brambly with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, dark spices, with vanilla scents and a distinct, concentrated red-fruit focus. Great for laying down and keeping for at least ten years but already rewarding if allowed to breathe in a decanter.

  10. 2013 La Pompadour Corbières, Castelmaure

An intense crimson colour with a powerful nose of red and black fruits, herbs spices and hot stones, heated by the sun. The palated is very round and full-bodied with a luxurious, silky texture.
