  1. 2010 Cumaro, Rosso Conero, Umani Ronchi

Ruby-red core, with garnet hues and an intense, full, ethereal and very persistent bouquet. The palate is harmonious, with hints of wild cherry and fruits of the forest.

  2. 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, Il Poggione

Intense ruby core with a garnet rim. Elegant nose with black fruits, leather and sweet spice followed by a balanced palate and a very long, seductive, finish.

  3. 2013 Pinot Noir Winemaker Reserve, Gibbstone Valley, Yealands

Aromas of dark cherry, plum, and spice are complemented by great mid palate texture, silky tannis and bright acid core.

  4. 2013 Valpolicella Classico DOC Villa Novare, Bertani

Violet red colour. Intense notes of blackcurrant red, plum, raspberry, black cherry and spice. Fresh with a good balance between acidity, sweetness and sapidity.

  5. 2012 Bonizio Toscano Rosso IGT, Cecchi

Bonizio has a deep and intense colour, it has a complex aroma of Mediterranean herbs. It is complex but has an immediacy and charm that make it immensely attractive.

  6. 2012 Organic Cabernet Sauvignon, Soleus

Deep brooding purple in colour with a vibrant nose of blackcurrant fruit, hints of liquorice and a touch of oak. The palate is full bodied but soft and juicy, packed with brambly briar fruit flavours, hints of spice and the oak makes a luxurious return on the finish.

  7. 2011 Château Nicot Rouge, Bordeaux

Supple on the palate with good structure and substance, lifted by gorgeous red fruit and spicy notes.

  8. 2010 Barolo DOCG Pisapola, Ascheri

Brilliant intense garnet colour. The wine displays the characteristic, ethereal and intense bouquet with notes reminiscent of violets and ripe fruit. Full-bodied, soft, velvety and persistent palate, in some ways austere but harmonious and pleasant at the same time.

  9. 2011 The High Trellis Cabernet Sauvignon, d'Arenberg

Cooler years in McLaren Vale always lead to incredibly expressive and highly varietal Cabernets.
The High Trellis is no exception with an abundance of blackcurrant, violets and minty notes leaping from the glass.
Beautiful bright purple fruits dominate the palate, countered by typical Cabernet characters such as red capsicum skin and fresh mint.
The wine feels quite linear at this stage of its development and the combination of fruit and fine chalky tannins seems to go on and on endlessly.
A wine that can be savoured now or allowed to develop for the next five to 10 years.

  10. 2014 Petit Pinotage, Ken Forrester Wines

Classic Pinotage aromas of spicy mulberries, plum pudding and cherries, with more subtle hints of smoky bacon. Juicy and accessible with a soft palate and delicious fruit concentration.
