    This Pinot is very aromatic and texture driven. It has a spicy dark red fruit and floral nose of candied violets, black plum, fresh earth and sandalwood, with a palate of cassis, dark cherry and baking spices on the long and delicate finish.

    A vibrant purple colour. Intensely juicy with ripe, jammy notes and a rich juicy finish.

    Dark and dense cherry in colour with a bouquet of warm and primary bright fruit notes of black currant and mulberry with a perfumed lift of sweet mint, cocoa and freshly rubbed herbs. The palate’s opulent fruit weight and supple fruit tannins are deftly cradled by fine oak flavour and tannins. A mineral and chalky structure enhances palate texture and length.

  7. 2011 The Feral Fox Pinot Noir, d'Arenberg

    Earthy tones of wild mushroom and truffles are wonderfully countered with lovely, fresh, aromatic notes of musk and flowers, raspberry and kirsch. The palate is fine and balanced, driven forward by a lively line of vibrant acid and ending with that familiar d’Arenberg fine, gritty tannin.

In this cold, late-ripening vintage, the south exposition and richness typical of this site give the Mosconi a level of mid-palate pliancy and richness the other 2010 Barolos don't have. Mosconi has never given Barolos of finesse or elegance, but this is just about as good as it gets. 95 points", Antonio Galloni
