  1. 2012 Rully Rouge 1er Cru Clos du Chapitre, Jaeger-Defaix

Fine, elegant and structured, the Clos du Chapitre shows the very burgundian style of Pinot noir. The structure of this wine gives him a very good potential for ageing.

  2. 2013 Pinot Noir Reserva, Viña Leyda

Bright ruby red colour. A fruity nose with strawberries, hints of red cherries and a subtle wild herb notes with a delicate smokiness and tobacco. Refined on the palate, juicy and full of ripe berry flavours, a hint of minerality and refreshing finish.

  3. 2011 Domaine Capmartin Madiran Vieilles Vignes

The Vieilles Vignes is made from equal quantities of Cabernet and Tannat and aged in new oak barrels. A more approachable wine than the Cuvee du Couvent, and an excellent partner to roasted meats.

  4. 2008 Merlot Reserve, Thelema

    2008 Merlot Reserve, Thelema

    (6x75cl)

With enormous depth of colour, this wine is almost black in hue and is bursting with pure and concentrated blackcurrant aromas. The palate is full bodied and chunky with a well delineated structure of integrated, fine grained tannin and ripe toasty oak encasing the fruit flavours right through to the rounded, lengthy finish.

  5. 2013 Negroamaro del Salento, Varvaglione

Ruby red with shades of purple; the nose has fascinating scents of wild berries. The palate is marked by vanilla with a long lingering finish and a velvety texture.

  6. 2012 Merlot, Bogle Winery

    2012 Merlot, Bogle Winery

    (12x75cl)

Concentrated and full-bodied, the 2009 Merlot is a study in contrasts. Subtle and silky, yet bright and intense, this deep red wine is multifaceted. Black raspberry and dark cherry greet the nose, while the brighter fruit of ripe summer plum dazzles the palate. The toast and spice of twelve months in American oak seamlessly integrate with the tannin structure of this wine, leaving a long, lingering finish.

  7. 2011 Pago Negralada Tempranillo, Abadia Retuerta

Pago Negralada is a single vineyard Tempranillo from Abadía Retuerta’s vineyards in Sardon de Duero. The deep gravel soils here produce wines with a distinctive firm, tannic character that balances beautifully with the layers of ripe strawberry, raspberry and cherry fruit. The wine spends 19 months in new French oak barrels, marrying the complex flavours of wild red fruits, liquorice, herbs and minerals. 2011 was one of Abadía Retuerta’s best ever vintages, delivering a style of wine that can be drunk with pleasure right now or left to refine further over the next few years.

  8. 2011 La Barry Red, Martin Meinert

A wine for every day that offers just that little bit more. It has a lovely mid-palate fullness which belies its status, yet the finish is gentle and fresh.

  9. 2013 Valpolicella Ripasso, Sospiro

Intense ruby, red in colour. Fruity with deep hints of wild berries and jam. This wine is dry, structured with a soft, warm finish.

  10. 2013 Ou Kalant Cabernet Sauvignon, MAN Family Wines

A bold and juicy red wine with red-berry fruit aromas and a touch of oak spice. Classic cabernet cassis and red-currant fruit flavours with silky tannins and long finish.
