  1. 2011 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros, Domaine Bernard Defaix

Very pleasant with flavours of flowers, honeysuckle in particular, and mineral notes, it is also full in the mouth with good length.

  2. 2013 Karia Chardonnay, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars

Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars is famous as the winery that beat Bordeaux’s best in 1976’s Judgement of Paris, a moment which transformed the image of Californian wine around the world. Fast forward nearly 40 years, and the winery is still producing finely honed Chardonnay like Karia, a wine which opens with aromas of peach, yellow apple, spice and a pleasing sweet cream vanilla note. The palate is alive with citrus and light honey notes that lead to a lingering, fresh, minerally finish.

    2012 Chardonnay, 14 Hands

    (12x75cl)

The inspiration for 14 Hands wines recalls a time when wild mustangs roamed freely on the hills of eastern Washington State. This unique and beautiful landscape that gave these unbridled horses their spirit and tenacity now feeds their vines. This Chardonnay offers bright aromas of apples and pears with a touch of caramel and spice. Elegant fruit flavours give way to hints of butter and vanilla, ending with a juicy, fresh finish.

  4. 2013 H3 Chardonnay Horse Heaven Hills, Columbia Crest

The vineyards in Horse Heaven Hills are the source and inspiration behind the H3 wines. The hills have been home to the Columbia Crest winery for three decades, and it is this heritage that has helped them to create wines that capture the unique terroir of the region. This elegant, medium-bodied Chardonnay opens with aromas of spiced pear and freshly sliced apples with notes of blossoms and honey. Hints of toasty coconut join flavours of white orchard fruits, pineapple, grapefruit and sweet oak, ending with a long finish of creamy vanilla.

  5. 2012 Chardonnay Formigar Cornell DOC, Colterenzio

Pale yellow with greenish reflexes; nutty on the nose with a hint of exotic fruits such as mango and honeydew melon overlaying a discreet aroma of oak; full and broad on the palate, the richness cut by firm acidity.

  6. 2014 Chardonnay Les Mougeottes IGP Pays d'Oc

Lemon and vanilla on the nose with a round, fruity body and a hint of vanilla oak character. Has more ripeness than a Macon and more savouriness than the New World, making it ideal by the glass.

  7. 2013 Sincronia Blanc (Chardonnay, Parellada, Prensal), Mesquida Mora

The nose is gently aromatic, showing crisp notes of greengage and pear, the palate is finely textured with a minerally undertone from the Prensal grape – altogether a fresh, zesty delicate and balanced white.

  8. 2013 Dry Riesling, Chateau Ste Michelle

Produced by Chateau Ste. Michelle, the founding winery of Washington State, this cool climate Riesling is made in a crisp, dry, refreshing style with mouth-watering acidity and an elegant finish. According to the winemaker, the inviting citrus aromas and flavours of ripe apricot are a winner when served alongside a platter of freshly shucked oysters.

  9. 2013 Columbia Valley Chardonnay, Chateau Ste Michelle

Produced by Chateau Ste. Michelle, the founding winery of Washington State, this Columbia Valley Chardonnay has a fresh, soft style with bright apple and sweet citrus fruit character with hints of spice and subtle nuances of oak. Columbia Valley’s cool climate is perfect for producing complex Burgundian style Chardonnay which matches brilliantly with roast chicken, risottos and grilled fish

  10. 2014 Cirò Bianco Greco, Librandi

Fresh and fruity wine with a good vibrant finish.
