  3. NV Grappa Riserva Antica Cuvée Invecchiata in Barriques 43%, Nonino

Amber, luminous and enveloping. Possessing great aromatic richness, a scent of spices, brioche and pastries, orange and candied friuts. Warm, velvety and persistant, its aromatic shades are backed up with additional apricot friut notes, vanilla and bitter almond.

  4. NV Pirus Williams 43%, Nonino

Intense scent of Williams pears. Piercing fruit purity.

  5. NV Gioiello Castagno 37%, Nonino

Best served chilled to 10C in an iced glass with an open tulip shape. A few minutes' oxygenation by resting in the glass will open up the aromas and increase the nose/palate harmony. The spirit is intensely individual with a scent of spices and the character of the underlying chestnut blossom honey, but with increased elegance.

  8. NV Lot 90 XO, Cognac Tesseron

Attractive goldenm colour, Very fresh pear & quince notes on attack, give way to herbaceous elements, dried fruits and nuts, fresh, with intriguing hints of almond.THE PALATE: Firm, focussed, powerful, reflecting the aromatics presented by the nose – typical, young, quality cognac

  9. NV Lot 76 XO, Cognac Tesseron

To quote F Paul Pacult "The pristine condition of this stunningly copper-colored brandy is inspiring - it's gorgeous. In the nose there are delicate fragrances of spice, sesame seed, light oak, and baked pears; seven more minutes in the glass bring out pineapple, light toffee, milk, and brown sugar. The palate entry is elegant, composed, and moderately sweet in more of an oaky than a fruity way; by the midpalate stage, there's flavor evidence of ripe pear, white grapes, cake frosting, oloroso sherry, orange peel and dark honey. Ends up sugary sweet, satiny textured, and long in the throat."

  10. NV Lot 29 XO, Cognac Tesseron

Described by F Paul Pacult as: "Bronze/copper/topaz color; ideal purity... nut paste/oak scent..; with further air exposure, the bouquet takes on an orangy/citrusy leaning as the smell turns fruitier the more it aerates; lovely and compelling. The palate entry is supple, fruity sweet, and ripe; the midpalate stage highlights melded flavors of light caramel, marzipan, and nougat. Ends up oaky sweet, lightly spiced, and satiny. Like this cognac very much." Or Malcolm Gluck "This liquid can represent the planet in the cognac, armagnac and malt whisky class. It has the qualities of an elixir."
