  1. NV Saumur Brut, Domaine de Brizé

A really superb sparkling Loire, dry but not aggressive, produced from Chenin Blanc in the small village of Martigne-Briand, close to the town of Saumur. The wine has a beautifully fragrant English late summer fruits bouquet (apples and pears) and is clean, fresh and lively on the palate, a great alternative to Champagne.

  2. NV Saumur Brut Rosé, Domaine de Brizé

Has a vibrant strawberry colour and very fine, persistent bubbles. It has a red fruit nose with currants and summer fruits very evident. The wine really comes alive on the palate, being dry but with a wonderful crunchy (apple) fruit character and red fruits on the finish. Well made, well-rounded, delicious - too easy to drink too much of it!

  3. 2010 Pouilly Fumé Triptyque, Alain Cailbourdin

Light, elegant soft fruit nose. Fine citrus and herbaceous notes. Pure acidity holds the wine together very well and the finish is precise and long. An incredible clean, fresh and impressively well balanced Pouilly Fume.

  4. 2011 Pouilly Fumé Cuvée de Boisfleury, Alain Cailbourdin

Aromas are very expressive from the very first year and are essentially fruity citrus (grapefruit), passion fruit, as well as floral (rose petals and white flowers).

  5. 2010 Vouvray Demi-Sec, Sylvain Gaudron

Very pale lemon yellow colour. Hints of honey and fresh hay typical of Chenin. Chalky minerality. Backbone of high acidity keeping the wine taut, energetic and fresh, but rounded out with the merest hint of sweetness.

  6. 2011 Menetou Salon Blanc Domaine du Chatenoy, Pierre Clement

Lively citrus and grassy herb aromas. The palate is medium to light in body, dry and with good limey acidity that magnifies the citrus and mineral characters. Lengthy, clean and absolutely no oak on this 100% Sauvignon Blanc.

  7. NV Vouvray Brut, Sylvain Gaudron

Fine, persistent mousse. Notes of honey and fresh hay very typical of Chenin. Beautiful vein of acidity. Mineral. Complex with a hint of biscuity character.

  8. 2012 Muscadet de Sevre et Maine sur lie V V, Château du Poyet

Pale yellow in colour with a touch of complexity on the nose brought about by ageing on the lees. The palate is well balanced with surprisingly good weight and concentration followed by a clean, crisp finish.

  9. 2011 Pouilly Fumé, Château Favray

Not just a grassy, acidic dry white but a round, lush wine with depth of fruit and fantastic concentration, and superb balance which make it an ideal sauvignon blanc. Starting with an aromatic flowery/fruity bouquet and finishing with clean, crisp citrus style fruit, great length and limestone/minerally tones.

  10. 2012 Sancerre, Le Petit Broux, Caves des Vins de Sancerre

Overt gooseberry style Sauvignon flavour mingled with some exotic scents. Immediately appealing, crisp and clean with a good concentration of fruit. Although immediately drinkable the it usually needs about six months in the bottle to lose its initial greenness.
