  1. 2009 Synchronicity, Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Pinotage, Martin Meinert

A big rich wine from South Africa that emanates wild berry and sweet plum aromas. Silky, velvety texture and elegance in the mouth that counterpoints its power.

    2010 Ixsir Altitudes Red

    (12x75cl)

Warmth, sharpness, and ripeness are key here. Strawberries, oak and cassis on the nose. The open, accessible palate structure is enlivened by blackberry and cassis with a hint of green pepper, with ripe, soft tannins lending complexity; and a long, silky finish.

  3. 2010 Château Nicot Rouge, Bordeaux

Supple on the palate with good structure and substance, lifted by gorgeous red fruit and spicy notes.

  4. 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, Cannonball

Balance in the mouth is exceptional from start to finish - strawberry, blueberry, and red apple dipped in dark chocolate, all-spice and a layer of toasted oak. Tannins are structured but not overwhelming, with very well balanced acidity.

  5. 2009 Philip Toscana IGT Rosso, Mazzei

Full, ripe and intriguing body, long taste with pleasant and fresh aftertaste.

  6. 2013 Reserve Cabernet, Tooma River, Warburn Estate

Grown in the warm, sun drenched Australian vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon produces a distinctive, full bodied and generous style. This Reserve Cabernet is a great example, showing luxuriant blackcurrant aromas with hints of mint and delivering a powerful, concentrated palate of ripe blackcurrant and fig flavours, finishing supple and textured.

    2011 Heyden's Red, Welmoed

    (6x75cl)

Deep, dark red colour. Expressive layers of Bordeaux varietals with blackcurrant, ripe berry and tannins. Well balanced, medium to full bodied with great finish

  8. 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, De Gras

Brilliant red with hints of bay leaf, herbs and spicy blackcurrants on the nose, typically Chilean in style. The palate offers blackcurrant, cassis and blackberry, soft tannins with lingering spicy fruit and a firm finish.

  9. 2010 The High Trellis Cabernet Sauvignon, d'Arenberg

Cooler years in McLaren Vale always lead to incredibly expressive and highly varietal Cabernets.
The High Trellis is no exception with an abundance of blackcurrant, violets and minty notes leaping from the glass.
Beautiful bright purple fruits dominate the palate, countered by typical Cabernet characters such as red capsicum skin and fresh mint.
The wine feels quite linear at this stage of its development and the combination of fruit and fine chalky tannins seems to go on and on endlessly.
A wine that can be savoured now or allowed to develop for the next five to 10 years.

  10. 2008 Cyril Cabernet, Henschke

Deep crimson in colour. Lifted and perfumed with violets, cassis, blueberries, plums, blackberries and spice with hints of vanilla and cedar. The palate is supple and shows soft, fleshy, nicely textured fruit with mossy notes and a long finish.
