  1. 2011 Mariona Alicante Blanco, Artiga

Intensely perfumed and seductive with a range of exotic aromas and flavours of lychee, jasmine, rosewater and mango. It's big yet elegant, perfumed yet dry and very complex.

  2. 2007 Basket Pressed Cabernets, Skillogalee

This Cabernet blend is another dark, rich wine in the Skillogalee tradition, with intense colour and powerful, warm aromas and flavours. The wine is full and soft with sweet, leafy fruit flavours, rich vanillin oak and firm drying tannins on a lingering finish.

  3. 2007 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru, La Gibryotte, Famille Dugat

A blend of red and black fruit aromas over some softer raspberry fruit with really nice freshness, silky tannins and high acidity. Very complex with a mineral tang and some spicier, liquorice notes.

  4. 1998 Taittinger, Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs

On the nose the aromas are delicate and with a subtle nuances of wood, but there is great underlying depth. On the palate it offers a lively, clean but balanced first impression. It is fine and lean yet displays excellent length. Flavours of candied citrus fruits predominate, but there is a balanced touch of nuttiness.

  5. NV Saumur Brut Rosé, Domaine de Brizé

Has a vibrant strawberry colour and very fine, persistent bubbles. It has a red fruit nose with currants and summer fruits very evident. The wine really comes alive on the palate, being dry but with a wonderful crunchy (apple) fruit character and red fruits on the finish. Well made, well-rounded, delicious - too easy to drink too much of it!

  6. NV Grand Brut, Perrier Jouët

    NV Grand Brut, Perrier Jouët

    (6x75cl)

The palate is impetuous yet full, with a cheerful vitality due to its persistent stream of sprightly bubbles. There are rich flavours of brioche, butter and a long dry finish.

  7. NV Pignoletto Brut Modena Cleto, Chiarli

Light wine, slightly aromatic but fruity and easy to drink. Refreshing

  8. 2009 Homage Syrah, Trinity Hill

"A marvellously fragrant wine suggesting blackberry, licorice, anise and violets. The intense, long palate marries opulence and fineness to perfection. This just might be NZ’s most intense Syrah / Viognier. It’s a huge wine with a velvet texture and masses of ripe plum and dark berry fruit flavours that are more than a match for the wine’s solidly oaky overcoat.”
Bob Campbell, Gourmet Traveller Wine, August / September 2006

  9. 2011 Riesling, Skillogalee
