  1. 2007 Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers, Dom. Fernand Lecheneaut

    Wonderfully ripe and packed with generous aromas of redcurrants, spicy blackberries and touches of flinty mineral notes. The palate is intense and concentrated but showing a beguiling balance between structure, fruit and new oak. Firm, lengthy finish, superb for food pairing.

  2. 2008 Aloxe Corton, Domaine Maillard Père et Fils

    An opulent and ripe, red wine with flavours of strawberry fruit. Wonderfully expressive and powerful in the mouth it finishes with soft silky tannins and an animal richness so typical of Pinot Noir.

  3. 2008 Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru, Domaine Harmand Geoffroy

    Concentrated nose of red and black fruit - fully ripe but without over ripeness, and with classic Burgundian herbal/gamey undertones. In the mouth, rich and concentrated, juicy and immediately very delicious. Tannin is present although velvety and in check, and there is enough acidity to provide freshness and balance.

  4. 2008 Volnay, Domaine Régis Rossignol Changarnier

    The nose is a fantastic combination of cherry and rosehip fruit with delicious gamey/spicy/nutty complexity. In the mouth it is medium-bodied and elegant with bright acidity, fine tannin and a complex finish. As befits its septuagenarian winemaker, this is a wonderful traditional Volnay.

  5. 2001 Pommard Les Perrières, Domaine Jean-Michel Gaunoux

    Vibrantly bright, with a touch of mahogany toward the rim. The nose is generous in its complexity with fine and elegant red berry fruits and hints of earthy spices. The palate is medium bodied, soft, juicy and lengthy showing piercing strawberry and cherry fruits layered over a carpet of mushrooms, strawberry leaf and forest floor complexity. The finish is firm, clean and lengthy.

  6. 2008 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux St Jacques, Domaine Harmand Geoffroy

    Precision and purity of fruit mingles with more savoury, herbal, Burgundian aromas on the nose. Soft initially in the mouth, progressing to much more concentration and grip as the palate develops. Slightly youthful tannin on the finish but marvellous finesse of fruit. Benefits from decanting to enjoy now and over the next five years.

  7. 2010 Morey St. Denis, Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut

    One of the best last vintages of Burgundy. Ripe fruit and complex nose of small red fruit, lovely soft texture and a mouthfilling finish.

  8. 2011 Pommard les Vaumuriens Hauts, Domaine Henri Delagrange

    Beautiful red-black colour. The vines are on the slopes above the premiers crus which produces complex, powerful wines with a fantastic dry, mineral quality. Aromas of blackberry, bilberry or redcurrant and cherry stone. A wild forest floor character may develop in time.

  9. 2012 Laforêt Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Joseph Drouhin

    Light ruby coloured with mouthwatering wild raspberry brightness and intensity of flavour. Palate is light, but at the same time rounded with the merest hint of oak and long, elegant, silky tannin structure.

  10. 2011 Beaune 1er Cru Les Chouacheux, Domaine Chantal Lescure

    Light and bright with medium weight, ripe tannins and ripe red berry fruit, spice and pepper.
