  1. 2011 Chateau Bovila Malbec, Cahors

Deep ruby colour with aromas of currants and candied peel. Powerful, but well integrated, tannins, fresh minerality and lively Assam and redcurrant notes. Clean and modern.

  2. 2009 Château Pey La Tour Réserve, Bordeaux Supérieur

Mellow nose, with aromas of dense, fleshy fruit. Tasty and rich, with surprising concentration, good purity and depth, low acidity and plump fleshy fruit. Solid mouthfeel and excellent length.

  3. 2011 La Chapelle d'Escurac, Château d'Escurac

Ripe Bordeaux aromas of blackberry and touch of oak lift out of the glass. Mid weight tannins and grip give roundness and balance to the wine.

  4. 2010 Combe Rouge, Domaine de Fenouillet, Faugeres

Dark ruby with raspberry, strawberry, blackcurrant and some flinty minerality. Fresh, round and smooth on the palate with integrated tannins and a long, spicy finish.

  5. 2011 Volnay 1er Cru le Clos de Chênes, Domaine Henri Delagrange

Ruby coloured with a incredible depth of aroma and flavour. Violets and red fruits are extremely expressive, but also powerful, long-lived and elegant.

  6. 2010 Morey St. Denis, Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut

One of the best last vintages of Burgundy. Ripe fruit and complex nose of small red fruit, lovely soft texture and a mouthfilling finish.

  7. 2010 Beaune Clos des Mouches 1er Cru Rouge, Joseph Drouhin

Red fruits and undergrowth. Serious but so drinkable.

  8. 2009 Château Lamothe Bergeron, Cru Bourgeois, Haut-Médoc

Fine rounded plum fruit on the nose. Warm plush cassis fruit with a hint of oak. Nice balance and length.

  9. 2013 Carignan Vieilles Vignes les Archeres, IGP Pays de l'Hérault

Lovely cherry/ruby-red colour. Nice fruit intensity on the nose with berry fruit character and hints of vanilla. Soft round palate, hints of black currants, with nice complexity, good structure whilst keeping approachable tannins, with excellent varietal character displaying this indeginous grapes variety’s true character. A full flavoured easy-drinking classic of the Languedoc.

  10. 2012 Château Laulerie Merlot, Bergerac, Vignoble Dubard

Soft and supple Merlot blend from up-and-coming young winemaker Grégory Dubard in Bergerac. Lively red fruit with a hint of pepper characterise the nose of this red wine. A supple and velvety palate, accompanied by berry fruit aromas make this medium-weight wine easy-to-drink and ideal for the summer.
