  1. 2012 Château d'Arsac Cru Bourgeois, Margaux

Intense garnet-red in colour with a toasty, smoky nose, opening up to reveal a generous bouquet of red fruits. Silky and seductive palate, structured but rounded, with a concentrated middle and a flourish of vanilla and blackcurrant on the finish.

  2. 2004 Château Haut Bernat, Puisseguin St Emilion

Merlot dominated, soft, yet structured claret from the 'right banks'. The wine has ripe tannins and excellent fruit concentration, yet elegant.

  3. 2011 Château de Valois, Pomerol

Good deep dark ruby red. Spicy aromatic nose with ripe black fruit character. The palate is dominated by ripe berry fruit characteristics intermingled with spicy new oak. A good length with plenty of character.

  4. 2011 La Chapelle d'Escurac, Château d'Escurac

Ripe Bordeaux aromas of blackberry and touch of oak lift out of the glass. Mid weight tannins and grip give roundness and balance to the wine.

  5. 2011 Château des Gravières, Collection Prestige, Graves

Deep garnet-red with a slightly woody and toasted nose and aromas of prunes and liquorice. Fleshy, robust and well-balanced in the mouth with a firm, lengthy finish.

  6. 2012 Château Haut Pezat, Grand Cru, St. Emilion

Hints of ripe plums and damsons on the nose and on the palate. It is rich and velvety, with soft tannin and a long elegant finish.

  7. 2011 Chateau Mille Roses, Margaux

Deep ruby with top notes of roses and raspberry eau de vie, a middle register showing spicy wood with vanilla, almond and plum pudding and finally cocoa and coffee. Layered, very fine tannins and a medium body with incredible length and depth.

  8. 2011 Chateau Bonnet Red, Les Vignobles Andre Lurton

Purple and very bright. This appetising wine has black fruit flavours and a touch of strawberry. It is decidedly round on the palate with soft tannin, fine balance and a long red fruit aftertaste.

  9. 2012 Château La Tuilerie des Combes, Lussac St. Emilion

Beautifully developed garnet-red in colour. Shows a very ripe nose of concentrated fruits of the forest and a dense palate reminiscent of black cherries and chocolate with pretty notes of liquorice and eucalyptus. The typicaly bordelaise structure is flexible, with soft, rounded tannins that bring a balance and add length to the palate which finishes dry and clean.

  10. 2009 Château Lamothe Bergeron, Cru Bourgeois, Haut-Médoc

Fine rounded plum fruit on the nose. Warm plush cassis fruit with a hint of oak. Nice balance and length.
