  1. 2005 Shiraz, Tappa Pass, Henschke

    Very deep crimson in colour. The nose is concentrated and complex, with sweet lifted ripe aromas of spicy blackberries, blueberries and prunes, with hints of chocolate, anise and tar. The palate is sweet, ripe and lush, concentrated and complex, with intense blackberry fruits, plum, anise, cedar and tar. The texture is fleshy with silky layered tannins, excellent balance and great length.

  2. 2010 Riesling, Trevarrick Single Contour, Skillogalee

    This wine shows a floral perfume on the nose with a nice touch of orange blossom. The palate has great length and minerality with all the citrus attributes expected of a Skillogalee Riesling. A tight, fresh and focused acidity keeps everything in balance.

  3. 2009 Stickleback Red, Heartland

    Fragrant, spicy, juicy and full bodied. A rich violet / purple colour. Chocolate spice and black fruit characters of cherry and plum on the palate, with a vibrant blackcurrant lift. The Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine a rich, savoury character. Dolcetto enhances the blend, offering firm tannins to the mix. Lagrein contributes spiciness and a fresh, crisp acid profile, enhancing the wine's structure.

    Pale straw in colour with refined aromas of citrus, peach and fig characters, a touch floral with some subtle oak complexity and hints of hazelnut and cream. The palate is focused, intense and finely structured displaying exceptional purity of flavour, fine acidity and length.

  5. 2010 Johann's Garden GMS, Henschke

    Bright crimson in colour. Sweet ripe lifted spicy aromas of cherry plum, raspberry, rhubarb and anise. Hints of spicy nutmeg, clove and mace with smoky cedar nuances. The palate is rich and full with supple layered fleshy texture and ripe sweet plum/prune flavours; concentrated and complex with layers of velvety tannins, good balance, weight and length.

  6. 2006 First Growth, Parker Estate

    Deep in colour with a purple hue. The nose is fine and lifted with intense pure cassis aromas, liquorice and nuances of fine smoky French oak. The palate is intense and deep with layered rich cassis, blackberry fruit and mineral overtones. An elegant structure is complemented by good acidity and balance, the finish is long and lingering with fine tannins.

    Rich and dark with intense and complex aromas of cassis, mint, capsicum spice and toasty oak. The palate is smooth and velvety, showing superb balance between the fruit, the oak and the acid - tannin structure. It has weight with elegance and great length.

    Beautiful rich aromas of fig, ripe pear and tropical fruits with honeysuckle and nectarine notes. The wine has a round and slightly oily texture with stone-fruit flavours a creamy/leesy complexity, great length and freshness.
