  1. 2007 Barolo Vigna del Gris DOCG, Conterno Fantino

A behemoth of a nose, concentrated, complex and commanding. The palate is full and structured but surprisingly well rounded with black fruit, liquorice and mocha flavours, hints of rose petal and a defiant finish.

  2. 2005 Barolo di Serralunga d'Alba DOCG, Fontanafredda

Blood red with ruby highlights, it has a clear-cut, intense nose with overtones of vanilla, spices, withered roses and underbrush. The palate is dry, but soft, full bodied, velvety and well balanced, and is engagingly complex throughout the lengthy finish.

  3. 2010 Langhe Nebbiolo DOC, Parusso

Well structured but retaining a certain plumpness, warm, soft and lengthy, displays red berry flavours and hints of oak with winter spices.

  4. 2007 Barbaresco DOCG, Coste Rubin, Fontanafredda

Barbaresco is a wine which demands attention and respect: for its prestigious history, which is the result of hard work, but above all on account of the splendid sensations it offers in the glass. It has a brilliant garnet-red colour, while the bouquet is complex, with ethereal, spicy overtones on well-balanced wood, intense vanilla, cooked fruit and cinnamon. Its deep, velvety and well-balanced flavour lingers on the palate, confirming the long ageing process which combines lavish nature with great technical skill.

  5. 2008 Barolo DOCG, Sori Ginestra, Conterno Fantino

A complex wine with classic aromas of melting tar and violets, lots of figs and rich notes of chamois leather. Pretty complex, of medium weight and with a very fine finish.

  6. 2007 Barolo di Serralunga d'Alba DOCG, Fontanafredda

Blood red with ruby highlights, it has a clear-cut, intense nose with overtones of vanilla, spices, withered roses and underbrush. The palate is dry, but soft, full bodied, velvety and well balanced, and is engagingly complex throughout the lengthy finish.

  7. 2008 Negro Barbaresco Cru Cascinotta

Light ruby in the glass with garnet on the rim. Classic Nebbiolo aromas of tar and roses on the nose backed up with an intensely peachy fruit on the palate. Highly concentrated but elegant, smooth tannins on the fresh, accessible palate with well-balanced oaking and vanilla spiciness. Very elegant finish.

  8. 2009 Barolo DOCG Pisapola, Ascheri

Brilliant intense garnet colour. The wine displays the characteristic, ethereal and intense bouquet with notes reminiscent of violets and ripe fruit. Full-bodied, soft, velvety and persistent palate, in some ways austere but harmonious and pleasant at the same time.

  9. 2008 Barolo DOCG, Fontanafredda

Classic dark 'tar' and perfumed 'roses' on the nose, light in colour but with great power, concentration and well balanced ripe tannins. This is a wine to match with rich foods and game dishes.
