Taittinger Nocturne is a pale yellow colour with shimmering highlights. The bubbles form a delicate necklace of fine mousse. Its nose is subtle and fresh, suggestive of the delightful aromas of white blossom and ripe fruit, with overtones of yellow peaches and dried apricots. The first impression on the palate is soft and mellow and remains very fresh. It is dominated by flavours reminiscent of raisins and fruit in syrup. The aftertaste is long and soft with an enjoyable and full of flavour sweetness. All in all, a mature, rounded, rich, mellow wine of intense smoothness, tenderness and passion.
-
The very lightly oaked Escale Pinot Noir is elegant and fruity, displaying all the hallmarks of the Pinot grape with hints of raspberries on the nose and silky tannin structure on the palate.
-
Aromas of morello cherry and raspberry with complex earthy elements, mouthfilling on the palate with a good concentration of red berry fruits, a lick of smooth woody vanilla and a lovely supple, textured middle supported by very fine tannins. Elegant and complex despite its concentration with a well balanced and defined finish.
-
Pure Pinot Noir with a wonderfully perfumed nose. The palate offers great structure and concentration with ripe, subtle fruit and fine tannins. This is a wine that can be savoured now but that will also last for many years to come.
-
The bubbles are fine and abundant and form a luxuriant mousse. Intense, fruity aromas of quince, redcurrant and morello cherry. and a lively, structured palate with fruity flavours of cherries in brandy. The finale is powerful and persistent.
-
Bright white gold in colour with a fine and consistent perlage and a clean, subtle nose. The palate is packed with rich yellow peach and apricot flavours with subtle hints of toasted nuts, yeast and hints of vanilla. Finishes elegant, lengthy and dry.
-
An enticing nose of ripe red fruits which combine beautifully with flavours of sweet dark plums intermingled with savoury notes and exotic spices. This wine is elegant and refined but with real weight and power.
-
Concentrated nose of red and black fruit - fully ripe but without over ripeness, and with classic Burgundian herbal/gamey undertones. In the mouth, rich and concentrated, juicy and immediately very delicious. Tannin is present although velvety and in check, and there is enough acidity to provide freshness and balance.
-
A pretty purplish crimson colour. The nose speaks of bright red fruits - raspberry and cherry, then violet florals, dried meadow herbs and hints of cherry pip, oak and botanical spices. The palate is attractively brambly with a core of red fruits, fresh acidity, fine, graphite-like tannins and a savoury edge which balances the fruit. This wine is approachable when young yet shows potential for further improvement with careful cellaring.
-
Youthful purple colour with an attractive, almost exotic nose of cherries, raspberries and beef flavoured crisps, with a herby edge. Open and attractive on the palate, with bright fruit and gamey complexity, good acidity and soft but persistent tannins on the finish.
