  1. 2009 Haven Pinot Noir, Kooyong

Spicy, smokey, gamey aromas, leavened in the mouth with hints of anise and heather over succulent black cherry fruit. Well-structured, with richness and a warm, enveloping texture.

  2. 2010 Faultline Chardonnay, Kooyong

Bright lemon colour. Aromas of white peach and crunchy nectarine, potter’s clay and a hint of leesy funk. The palate is strident and powerful with some apricot fleshiness, the anchoring Faultline clay minerality and the textbook peach skin phenolic drive. Long and impressive.

  3. 2012 Massale Pinot Noir, Kooyong

A pretty purplish crimson colour. The nose speaks of bright red fruits - raspberry and cherry, then violet florals, dried meadow herbs and hints of cherry pip, oak and botanical spices. The palate is attractively brambly with a core of red fruits, fresh acidity, fine, graphite-like tannins and a savoury edge which balances the fruit. This wine is approachable when young yet shows potential for further improvement with careful cellaring.

  4. 2012 Are You Game? Chardonnay, Fowles Wine

A youthful straw colour. Aromas of peach and papaya play with subtle oak and yeasty notes. Full bodied and fruity, the palate has a delightful creaminess as a result of ten months on its lees.

  5. 2012 Ladies who shoot their Lunch Wild Ferment Chardonnay, Fowles Wine

Pale straw in colour. Mineral notes acquiesce to intense aromas of melon, peach and subtle vanilla. The palate is complex and full bodied with balanced oak notes, a wonderfully creamy texture and great length of flavour.

  6. 2013 Beurrot Pinot Gris, Kooyong

Bright straw colour. Aromas of struck match accentuate an expressive nose of bomboniere almond, spun sugar, nougat, lychee and sweet fresh hay. The palate is rich yet dry and structured, with a viscous texture characteristic of the variety, moderate alcohol and fresh acidity. The residual sugar is relatively low for this style, at 3.7g/L and helps to emphasize the purity and line of this wine. Best enjoyed whilst youthful, this wine will build further richness over several years.

  7. 2011 Ferrous Pinot Noir, Kooyong

A darker and more restrained nose than the Meres. Rather than a panoply of mixed fruits, this is more dense and complex, with smoked meats, blueberry, ironstone, black olive, and a touch of Chinese five spice. A singular style with an exciting range of flavours. Tannins are quite firm on the back palate at the moment, and will soften with age.

  8. 2012 Are You Game? Shiraz, Fowles Wine

This Shiraz is deep cherry red. On the nose black pepper, plum and cinnamon play with nutmeg and subtle oak notes. The Palate is full of ripe fruits and a medley of complex spices integrated oak that leads to a velvety long finish.

  9. 2013 Are You Game? Sauvignon Blanc, Fowles Wine

Delicate straw colour with a slight green hue. Aromas of cut grass play with notes of sugar snap pea and subtle passion fruit. With tropical fruits, the palate is fresh with complex texture and great length of flavour.

  10. 2012 Faultline Chardonnay, Kooyong
