On the palate the wine is medium weight displaying the fresh acidity characteristic of many 2008 Côte de Nuits reds. Tannin structure is firm, but ripe, and there is plenty of pure Pinot fruit flavour to give the wine remarkable on the palate.

    Strawberry pink in hue with a luscious nose of red fruits, caramel and vanilla. The palate is medium bodied and distinctly fruity with a crisp, juicy finish.

  9. 2008 Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru, Domaine Harmand Geoffroy

    Concentrated nose of red and black fruit - fully ripe but without over ripeness, and with classic Burgundian herbal/gamey undertones. In the mouth, rich and concentrated, juicy and immediately very delicious. Tannin is present although velvety and in check, and there is enough acidity to provide freshness and balance.
