    The Sangiovese in this vintage was generous and of outstanding quality, first as grapes and then as juice, bestowing its Chianti-zone violet and earthy aromas, while at the same time displaying the highest elegance and persistence. This was complemented by the lush fruit of the Merlot, the smoke of the Petit Verdot, and the vibrancy of the Cabernet Sauvignon. There is beautiful choreography in the balance between the velvety tannins and alcohol in this new vintage.

    Natio is characterised by a lively, ruby red colour and a fruity, vinous nose. It is a soft, well-structured and balanced wine with aromatic hints of cherry, blueberry and plum.

    Strong identity, great and elegant structure and with an important capabilities of aging are the distinguishing features of this wine definitely important. The perfume is persistent and fine.The taste is round, well balanced with notes of black cherry, plum and kirsch.

The distinct floral aromas, with hints of brininess, give way to juicy lemon citrus and a salty tang on the thirst quenching palate. This generous, intense wine is an ideal match for full flavoured fish dishes, cooked straight from the sea.

    Chianti Cecchi is characterised by a red ruby colour, which tends towards garnet red when aged. On the nose it is intensely aromatic with notes of violets. On the palate it is well balanced with the classic signature of Chianti which make it such a good match with food.

    The Cecchi family are enduringly connected to San Gimignano and this expressive Castello Montauto Vernaccia pays homage to their important historic homeland. The family’s scrupulous vineyard selection produces aromatically rich grapes, with fine, floral scents and hints of bitter almond. The intensity of Cecchi’s brilliant example is exquisitely balanced by crisp, citrus freshness and a beguiling perfume.

  9. 2014 Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Cecchi

    Vernaccia is characterised by a light straw colour which tends to become golden with ageing. Its fine persistent aroma has a fresh and harmonious balance with a light aftertaste reminiscent of bitter almonds. It is well structured with well balanced body and acidity.

  10. 2012 Vermentino di Maremma IGT La Mora, Cecchi

    A white wine with unmistakable traces of succulent summer fruits. Rich, but with a great backbone of freshness. Fragrant and mineral on the finish.
