Wine

A really superb sparkling Loire, dry but not aggressive, produced from Chenin Blanc in the small village of Martigne-Briand, close to the town of Saumur. The wine has a beautifully fragrant English late summer fruits bouquet (apples and pears) and is clean, fresh and lively on the palate, a great alternative to Champagne.
-
This is classic Mosel Riesling with a fresh lemony fragrance on the nose. In the palate there is an amazingly complex balance of many different factors - fresh acidity and off-dry sweetness - slate driven mineral texture and low alcohol - fresh fruit and a deep oily complexity. Poise and depth.
-
Wonderfully opulent and perfumed on the nose with dollops of honey allied to blossom and spicy complexity. The palate is rich and full again with great acidity, giving the wine and exceptional balance, and we suspect longevity.
-
Pale straw in colour with refined aromas of citrus, peach and fig characters, a touch floral with some subtle oak complexity and hints of hazelnut and cream. The palate is focused, intense and finely structured displaying exceptional purity of flavour, fine acidity and length.
-
Concentrated, ripe and intriguingly complex on the nose. It releases a cocktail of tropical fruits among its toasted hazelnut and fresh bready aromas. It's full bodied too, filling the mouth with bags of melon and pineapple fruit with hints of bananas all underpinned with a stylish grapefruity acidity and a sumptuously silky finish.
-
Intensely purple/black in colour, almost opaque. The nose is a concentrated wall of spices, mineral tones and dark berry fruits. Deeply concentrated, tight and seriously well structured, the palate is immense in its breadth and length showing a wealth of blackberry, fruits of the forest and spiced, wooded flavours. The firm finish means you won't forget this one easily.
-
An intense yet fine and elegant bouquet, with dominant notes of ripe berry fruits (redcurrants, fraises des bois and raspberries) and appealing
hints of orange peel, rose and cumin.Dry and velvety. -
If you are expecting a heavy lychee-richness you will be surprised by the incredibly pure fresh and grapey nose of this Alsace classic. The palate is dry, but extremely full bodied, with a gorgeous mouthfilling texture leading into a lifted peppery finish.
-
Redolent of roses, lychees and spices, this immensely rich Gewurztraminer is so unctuous and viscous when young that it can seem slightly sweet even though it is fermented almost dry. This massive body is balanced by an almost chalky fresh minerality and extract with a result that the wine boasts the elegance and finesse which are the Trimbach trademark.
-
The bouquet is intense, ample and elegant with a hint of honey and wild flowers. Dry and smooth on the palate with good balance and an exceptionally long finish.
