    Engagingly fresh and succulent on the nose, exhibiting classic floral and grapey aromas. The palate is medium bodied, sweet and sensuous with fine flavours of ripe apricot, honey and melon with good balancing acidity and a crisp, mouthfilling finish.

  4. 2007 Vintage Fortified Shiraz, d'Arenberg

    The nose starts with fine tobacco and dark chocolate mixed with dark fruits and lifted violets. The fine, low-strength brandy spirit plays a wonderful supporting role - selected for its 'tails' character, all juniper berries, spice and fruit and 'hearts' - roses and apricots and brings warmth and richness to the wine.The palate is fine and focussed due to the dry vintage conditions, dark plums, figs and nuts mingle with sandlewood and exotic spices. The tannins are chewy yet fine and there's a linear backbone of acidity to keep it all in check. The finish is long and layered, indicating a long life ahead for those with the patience to give this wine time in their cellar.

    Attractive onion-skin/salmon pink colour with a very pale hue, this rosé is well-balanced and classy. Ripe and rounded strawberries dominate the nose and on the palate, floral, mineral and savory characteristics give it complexity.

    With an expressive nose of peach, mango and candied rose petals, the wine has a long, full mineral-rich mouth.

    Pale gold in colour with flashes of diamond brilliance, it has a light, fresh, mineral and citrus bouquet. The palate is crisp and dry, with a hint of ripe pears and a complex array of red and green apples, the finish is mouthwateringly refreshing and lengthy.

    Beautiful light cherry red in the glass and rose petals on the nose. In the mouth there is a poised balance of acidity, alcohol and body, and the short period in wood adds to mouthfeel, structure and complexity, without overwhelming the succulent red fruit characteristics.
