  1. 2012 Escale Pinot Noir, Vin de France

The very lightly oaked Escale Pinot Noir is elegant and fruity, displaying all the hallmarks of the Pinot grape with hints of raspberries on the nose and silky tannin structure on the palate.

  2. 2009 1860 Tempranillo, Marqués de Riscal

A black-cherry coloured wine with slight violet hues. High aromatic intensity, with aromas of ripe dark fruit, fine smoked notes with toasted aromas coming through. On the palate it is meaty and crisp, with a presence of well-polished tannins. Moderate acidity, with a long, pleasant finish in which the oak can be detected more distinctly.

  3. 2010 Côtes du Rhône, Domaine de la Mirandole

Light, ruby red with a perfumed, fruity nose of violet and raspberry. The palate is balanced by juicy damson and raspberry fruit, smooth tannins, good acidity and a spicy finish. Beautifully structured.

    2009 Ixsir Altitudes Red

    (12x75cl)

Warmth, sharpness, and ripeness are key here. Strawberries, oak and cassis on the nose. The open, accessible palate structure is enlivened by blackberry and cassis with a hint of green pepper, with ripe, soft tannins lending complexity; and a long, silky finish.

  5. 2010 Chorey-Les-Beaune, Domaine Maillard Père et Fils

Aromas of morello cherry and raspberry with complex earthy elements, mouthfilling on the palate with a good concentration of red berry fruits, a lick of smooth woody vanilla and a lovely supple, textured middle supported by very fine tannins. Elegant and complex despite its concentration with a well balanced and defined finish.

  6. 2010 Red Angel IGT, Pinot Nero, Vinnaioli Jermann

Fragrant, with rich blueberries and fruits of the forest on the nose, this is an elegant, round and velvety Pinot Noir with loganberry-fruit character and cherryish undertones filling out the medium bodied, succulent palate.

  7. 2010 Crozes Hermitage Rouge, Domaine Combier

Spectacularly deep and dark in colour with an almost silky sheen. The nose is a complex melange of fruit, secondary aromas like tar and leather and a touch of spicy oak. This is echoed on the palate. The tannins are firm but ripe and elegant and the finish is extremely long and fine.

  8. 2009 Pinot Noir, Mansion House Bay

Bright plum and cherry fruit flavours, cedar and oak spice together with underlining earthy and game complexities on the nose. A medium bodied wine with a svelte, velvety texture, supporting dark berry fruit flavours and a soft, fine finish.

  9. 2007 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru, La Gibryotte, Famille Dugat

A blend of red and black fruit aromas over some softer raspberry fruit with really nice freshness, silky tannins and high acidity. Very complex with a mineral tang and some spicier, liquorice notes.

  10. 2011 Tempranillo Austral Rioja

Bright garnet red in colour, with purple hues. On the nose there are attractive varietal aromas of red berries, fresh strawberry leaf and some hints of spice. Rounded and soft in the mouth, with a well balanced, medium bodied palate amply stacked with crunchy red berry and hedgerow fruit leading into an elegantly smooth, caressing finish.
