  1. NV Lot 53 XO, Cognac Tesseron

Mahogany in colour this cognac hits first with a heady aromatic tang which gives way to more subtle hints of wood, dried fruits and tobacco. On the palate pepper and spices are in the fore front before revealing dark chocolate and fresh herbs. This cognac is opulent, rounded and complex with very good length.

  2. 2013 Grenache Rosé, Montagne Noire, Vin de Pays d'Oc, Foncalieu

Attractive onion-skin/salmon pink colour with a very pale hue, this rosé is well-balanced and classy. Ripe and rounded strawberries dominate the nose and on the palate, floral, mineral and savory characteristics give it complexity.

  3. 2012 Director's Cut Shiraz, Heartland

The 2009 Directors' Cut Shiraz is a deep ruby in colour, with splashes of violet. The nose displays beautifully articulated dark fruits, cherries and cassis with hints of spice box and anise. Seductively rich on the palate, flavours of dark chocolate and plums integrate with supple, focused tannin and and impressive length.

  4. 2012 Chenin Blanc, Fairvalley

    2012 Chenin Blanc, Fairvalley

    (6x75cl)

Fresh fruity nose (apples and pears) with a lemon lift. The palate is clean and crisp with more flavour than you'd expect at this price point. Good acidity, herby edge, and satisfying weight of fruit on the finish.

  5. 2013 Estate Red, Kenton Vineyard

This has a greater proportion of Pinot Noir than the previous vintage which has produced more red fruit characters of cherry and hints of strawberry. Subtle use of oak produces light cedar aromas.

  6. 2013 Sutherland Sauvignon Blanc, Thelema

Pale gold in colour with youthful flashes of lime green, the nose is aromatic with pungent 'green' aromas of bell pepper and fresh crushed herbs. On the palate the wine is medium bodied and dry with a mouthwatering streak of minerals, hints of sub-tropical fruit and a layer of grassy gooseberry flavours that merge sublimely with the limey, crisp finish. Elegant and lengthy.

  7. 2009 Abbotts Prayer Merlot Cabernet, Henschke

Very deep crimson in colour. Sweet, spicy aromas of violets, forest hints, dusty mulberries and blueberries with cedar and fruit cake. A lush, concentrated, sweet ripe palate layered with great texture and fruit flavours; intense and complex. Excellent depth and structure, fine-grained tannins and a very long finish.

  8. 2010 The Love Grass Shiraz, d'Arenberg

The wine displays a mix of fruit and spice, a result of the myriad of minor varieties that cling to the bones of the Shiraz and draw it in all sorts of different directions.
Fresh and lively, black and red fruits, pepper, clove and cinnamon.
The palate, whilst showing the poise and focus common amongst the 2011’s, develops its richness in the glass.
Ensure you take a moment to savour this wine and watch its complex mix of fruits evolve from tight and linear at first to rich, dark and exotic.

  9. 2010 Cabernet Sauv Merlot, Madfish

A dark crimson red colour of great intensity. The wine jumps from the glass with aromatic black cherry, blueberry and chocolate characters. These characters continue on to the palate with complexing flavours of roasted coffee beans, mulberries and savoury dusty tannins. The palate is rich and mouth filling with seamless oak and well balanced acidity.

  10. 2011 Stickleback White, Heartland

Lime green colour with a citrus and tropical aroma. White nectarine and apricot flavours balanced by a crisp, fresh finish.
