    2008 Pelago, Umani Ronchi

    (6x75cl)

Impenetrable ruby red colour with purple tints. On the nose there are spicy fragrances of coffee, black pepper, liquorice and tobacco. The palate is fruits of the forest, vanilla and mineral aromas, and strong but developed tannins.

  4. 2013 Gavi di Gavi, La Minaia, Nicola Bergaglio

Pale gold in colour with flashes of diamond brilliance, it has a light, fresh, mineral and citrus bouquet. The palate is crisp and dry, with a hint of ripe pears and a complex array of red and green apples, the finish is mouthwateringly refreshing and lengthy.

  5. 2011 Crasto Douro Superior, Quinta do Crasto

Lifted aromas of fresh Douro red forests fruits, very well combined with elegant bush and spice characters. Excellent approach, with upfront red fruits leading to a solid structure with fresh and elegant tannins. Great acidity, developing to a pleasant, well balanced and persistent finished.

  6. 2010 Fitzrovia Cuvée Merret (Rosé), Ridgeview

A light salmon colour. Chardonnay dominance brings freshness and finesse, whilst the pinots add the flavours of summer fruits.

  7. NV Cuvée Rosé Brut, Laurent Perrier

Pale cherry-red in colour with a rich blackcurrant and raspberry nose. The palate is elegant and lengthy, with soft, consistent bubbles, ripe red fruits such as raspberries and strawberries, and a clean, soft finish with a creamy texture.

  8. 2009 Rioja Reserva, Marqués de Riscal

A dark cherry colour with good depth. Balsamic aromas with hints of ripe fruit, complex and spicy. The attack is fresh and light, with soft, rounded tannins. The finish proves persistent with some reminders of toasted oak. Its passage through the mouth is pleasant and elegant, fresh and easy to drink.

  9. 2011 Dreams IGT, Vinnaioli Jermann

The bouquet is intense, ample and elegant with a hint of honey and wild flowers. Dry and smooth on the palate with good balance and an exceptionally long finish.

  10. 2009 Carmel Limited Edition, Carmel

This is Carmel’s flagship wine. It is a Bordeaux style blend made in an ‘old world’, elegant style. Deep purple in color, Carmel Limited Edition has an aroma of black plum, violets, and tobacco leaves. It is full bodied, but shows extraordinary elegance and an excellent balance between fruit, tannins and acidity. The drawing on the label is of Carmel’s Rishon Le Zion Wine Cellars.
