  1. 2013 Pinard Cuvée Classique Blanc, Domaine Vigné-Lourac

A light, crisp blend from Alain Gayrel made with fresh, vibrant grape varieties. This is an excellent aperitif wine, that will also match gracefully light dishes such as chicken salads. Excellent value for money, and a wine that very much over-delivers on its name (Pinard is the French name for 'plonk'!).

  2. 2013 Sauvignon Blanc, Stellenbosch, Thelema

Bright pale gold in colour with flashes of lime green, this wine is fresh, crisp and aromatic on the nose, boasting delicious gooseberry, melon and pineapple aromas. It is medium bodied and juicy, packed with fresh ripe melon and guava fruits and hints of bell pepper with a crisp, refreshing finish which is bone dry.

  3. 2012 Henry's Seven SGV, Henschke

Aromas of red and blue fruits, ripe plums, morello cherries, and notes of exotic florals and stone-fruits. Rich, lush and juicy wild berry and satsuma plum flavours, with a hint of anise and kirsch. The texture is juicy and lush with layers of velvety tannins and great length.

  4. 2010 Faultline Chardonnay, Kooyong

Bright lemon colour. Aromas of white peach and crunchy nectarine, potter’s clay and a hint of leesy funk. The palate is strident and powerful with some apricot fleshiness, the anchoring Faultline clay minerality and the textbook peach skin phenolic drive. Long and impressive.

  5. 2012 Château du Donjon Grande Tradition

Dark reddish-purple, this Languedoc red breathes ripe, grapey fruit, raspberry fruits, and fragrant black pepper with a lightly herbaceous 'leafy' back note. Full and luscious on the first taste, its juicy black fruit is nicely balanced by tart, crisp acidity, with soft tannins lurking behind the fruit to create a fresh, mouth-watering flavour - great structure. Very luscious on palate. Finishes on ripe intense black fruit finish - delicious!

  6. 2012 Carignano del Sulcis, Grotta Rossa, Santadi

Mature, gamey nose, almost Pinot in style but the palate is fuller and serious. Delicate violet notes on the nose followed by attractive, violet fruit. Delicately made. Toffee smells on the nose and a pleasant palate with slightly ageing fruit and interesting flavour of mushroom on the finish. Complex, deep and delicious blend of tarry blackcurrant fruit with underlying richness of dried fig.

  7. 2011 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Cecchi

The Cecchi Vino Nobile has a very intense ruby red colour tending towards garnet with age and the aroma has a distinct perfume of violets and sweet violets. The alcohol content makes the aromatic sensation ethereal and prolonged. In the mouth, the Vino Nobile is dry, lightly tannic which hints of vanilla and is beautifully balanced with a deep structure.

  8. 2013 Villa St Michel Grenache

Dark ruby red in the glass with a nose of plum jam and raisins. Light and moreish on the palate with excellent balance and ripe, soft tannins.

  9. 2013 Elki Sangiovese, Viña Falernia

Vibrant, juicy and supple Sangiovese from Chiles northern Elqui Valley that bursts with English summer red fruits.

  10. 2012 Barbera Amonte, Volpi

Deliciously fruity with notes of blueberries, cherries and rapsberries. Robust with a persitent finish.
