  3. 2013 Marani Bianco Veronese, Sartori

Brilliant yellow-diamond in colour; aromas of rich, ripe fruit and honey; voluptuous on the palate, with a persistent mineral finish, reflecting the volcanic soils of the Soave zone.

  4. 2011 Puligny Montrachet, Domaine Alain Chavy

  5. 2011 The Custodian Grenache, d'Arenberg

The 2011 Custodian is a jewel of a wine that is perfectly balanced and harmonious. The first look suggests an enticing simplicity displaying primary fruit characters of mulberry, blueberry and plum. Deeper inspection however starts to reveal more complex layers, conjuring images of aniseed, fennel and coriander seed.
The palate is warm and juicy. The sweet and savoury fruits are laced by fine silken tannins which lead to a super persistent finish, again displaying a delightful fruitiness, accompanied by more savoury, cedary, baking spice like notes. Simply put, this wine is liquid velvet.

This Reserve Cabernet is a great example, showing luxuriant blackcurrant aromas with hints of mint and delivering a powerful, concentrated palate of ripe blackcurrant and fig flavours, finishing supple and textured.

  9. 2012 Pradalupo Roero Arneis DOC, Fontanafredda

he bouquet is reminiscent of exotic fruits, matured peers, hawthorn and acacia honey. In the mouth is warm, velvety, sweet with a nice acidity level, giving the wine freshness and long lasting aftertaste.

  10. NV Taittinger, Prélude Grand Cru

Pale, brilliant yellow in colour with silvery highlights, the bubbles are fine and form a lasting and delicately creamy ring of mousse. The nose is subtle and fresh, the initial mineral aromas quickly develop into green, floral scents with hints of elderflower and spicy cinnamon overtones. On the palate, its flavours are dominated by intensive fresh citrus fruit. These then give way to a much fuller, well-bodied and mellow taste with flavours reminiscent of white peaches in syrup. The finish is long, rich and extremely expressive.
