  1. 2010 Chateau de Rochemorin White, Les Vignobles Andre Lurton

Clear and bright clour. Wafts of ripe peach and nectarine on the nose, along with smoky, toasty notes. The palate is admirably balanced, rich, with lingering freshness. May be drunk young but can also be laid down for 7 or 8 years.

  2. 2013 Tre Torri, Carignano del Sulcis Rosato, Santadi

Fresh, fruit driven nose of herby red berries with hints of spice. The palate is medium to light bodied and dry with generous raspberry and cranberry fruit flavours and a crisp, refreshing finish.

  3. 2012 Laforêt Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Joseph Drouhin

Light ruby coloured with mouthwatering wild raspberry brightness and intensity of flavour. Palate is light, but at the same time rounded with the merest hint of oak and long, elegant, silky tannin structure.

  4. 2013 Le Creete, Lugana, Ottella

    2013 Le Creete, Lugana, Ottella

    (6x75cl)

“Le Creete” offers considerable body, beautiful mineral characteristics, with a crisp and long, dry finish.

  5. 2012 Condrieu Les Chaillets, Vieilles Vignes, Domaine Cuilleron

Wonderfully opulent and perfumed on the nose with dollops of honey allied to blossom and spicy complexity. The palate is rich and full again with great acidity, giving the wine and exceptional balance, and we suspect longevity.

  6. 2001 Lourens River Valley Red, Morgenster

Opaque centre with lighter brick red edges, young and vibrant red.Starts out more herbaceous with lavender and thyme in the lead. Cabernet franc much more predominant with some whiffs of coffee. Then comes the cassis, raspberry and perfumey rose petals. Elegant and accessible entry, fullness is a given. A seamlessly put together palate. Beautiful balance of fruit, wood and acidity.

  7. 2008 Donaloba Crianza (Juan Garcia, Rufete), La Casita del Viñador

An intense cherry colour with a rich complex nose of ripe raspberry, cassis, cocoa beans and licquorice all of which are translated onto the palate along with some powerful earthy flavours and toasty notes with soft, round tannins and a serious savory and dry finish.

  8. 2010 The Stump Jump White Blend, d'Arenberg

Riesling gives the finesse and class to this wine, Sauvignon blanc adds loads of aromatics, and the Marsanne and Roussanne provide complexity, weight and nuttiness to the palate.
The resulting wine is an exotic mix of citrus, stone fruits, passionfruit, guava and tinned pineapple which develops into a long savoury, nutty like finish.
The mouthfeel is rich and luscious without being overly oily, kept in check by a fine line of mineral acidity.

  9. 2013 Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Cecchi

Vernaccia is characterised by a light straw colour which tends to become golden with ageing. Its fine persistent aroma has a fresh and harmonious balance with a light aftertaste reminiscent of bitter almonds. It is well structured with well balanced body and acidity.

  10. 2010 Merlot Stellenbosch, Thelema

Deep, brooding purple in colour with some brick red highlights. The nose has pretty red-fruit characters with some hints of spices such as cinnamon and liquorice. The palate is juicy, broad and ripe, packed with red and black berry fruits, a firm, well integrated oaky structure and a bold, well defined finish which makes it a great food wine.
