  1. 2007 Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Dugat

An aromatic nose of ripe red and black cherries with a touch of underbrush. Very pure with a silky texture and lovely intensity of fruit. Seamless through to the finish.

  2. 2008 Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru, Domaine Harmand Geoffroy

Concentrated nose of red and black fruit - fully ripe but without over ripeness, and with classic Burgundian herbal/gamey undertones. In the mouth, rich and concentrated, juicy and immediately very delicious. Tannin is present although velvety and in check, and there is enough acidity to provide freshness and balance.

  3. 2012 Falcons Perch Pinot Noir, J Lohr

Aromas of cherry preserves, fresh strawberries violet and crème brulée lead to a rich, soft palate
with fine grained tannins and plenty of fruit. Acidity is clean and fresh which invites a wide
    range of food pairings.

  4. 2010 Pinot Noir, Carrick Excelsior

An intense nose showing floral aromatics, black cherries, plum and a touch of spice from the barrels providing a beautifully integrated wine.
The front palate is layered with dark fruits, oriental spice and complex savoury flavours which support the fine grained tannins. The intensity of the front palate cascades into a lingering seamless finish.
This is an intensely rich wine that will cellar until at least 2020.

  5. 2011 Pommard les Vaumuriens Hauts, Domaine Henri Delagrange

Beautiful red-black colour. The vines are on the slopes above the premiers crus which produces complex, powerful wines with a fantastic dry, mineral quality. Aromas of blackberry, bilberry or redcurrant and cherry stone. A wild forest floor character may develop in time.

  6. 2012 Chorey-Les-Beaune, Domaine Maillard Père et Fils

Aromas of morello cherry and raspberry with complex earthy elements, mouthfilling on the palate with a good concentration of red berry fruits, a lick of smooth woody vanilla and a lovely supple, textured middle supported by very fine tannins. Elegant and complex despite its concentration with a well balanced and defined finish.

  7. 2011 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles, Alain Michelot

Beautiful dark red colour; aromas of blackcurrants; small black fresh fruits and spice on the palate with an elegant and rounded mouthfeel and a long, balanced finish.

  8. NV Taittinger, Nocturne
    champagne

    NV Taittinger, Nocturne

    (6x75cl)

Taittinger Nocturne is a pale yellow colour with shimmering highlights. The bubbles form a delicate necklace of fine mousse. Its nose is subtle and fresh, suggestive of the delightful aromas of white blossom and ripe fruit, with overtones of yellow peaches and dried apricots. The first impression on the palate is soft and mellow and remains very fresh. It is dominated by flavours reminiscent of raisins and fruit in syrup. The aftertaste is long and soft with an enjoyable and full of flavour sweetness. All in all, a mature, rounded, rich, mellow wine of intense smoothness, tenderness and passion.

  9. 2010 Cavendish Cuvee Merret, Ridgeview

A lovely golden straw colour and exceptionally fine bubbles. The nose is full with hints of red fruits. The pinot dominance brings depth and complexity to the palate with a long lasting finish, whilst the Chardonnay adds finesse and freshness. On early release the Cavendish is quite fruit focussed but will continue to develop more complex biscuit and bready characteristics over time. Drink now or age for the next two or three years.

  10. 2011 Ferrous Pinot Noir, Kooyong

A darker and more restrained nose than the Meres. Rather than a panoply of mixed fruits, this is more dense and complex, with smoked meats, blueberry, ironstone, black olive, and a touch of Chinese five spice. A singular style with an exciting range of flavours. Tannins are quite firm on the back palate at the moment, and will soften with age.
