  1. 2013 Carmenere, Viña Falernia

Fairly deep red with a pale rim. Very sweet ripeness on the nose, possibly red gooseberry jam and a
hint of green pepper. Ripe fruit on palate with soft texture.

  2. 2006 Aleatico di Puglia, Francesco Candido

Crimson in colour developing hints of amber with maturity. Broad, rich, penetrating and showing maturity on the nose. On the palate, medium sweet with a good acid backbone, velvety and delicious with dried raisin characteristics reminiscent of Muscat.

  3. 2010 Châteauneuf du Pape Tradition, Domaine de la Janasse

Deep red-ruby. Fruit-driven aromas of cassis, redcurrant, smoke, spice and animal fur. Soft, lush and ripe, with enticing fruit and good balance. Easy going, generous and balanced for early drinking appeal.

  4. 2014 Domaine de Monastir IGP Côtes Catalanes, Vignerons Terres Romanes

Herby with redcurrants and pomegranate. The ripe southern fruitiness is kept savoury by the flavours of the mountainside. Soft tannins, medium body and mellow acidity.

    2014 Albariño, Valmiñor

    (6x75cl)

A fresh bouquet of peach and apricot lead to a rich and full palate with a hint of lemony acidity. Clean and well balanced with a dry, concentrated finish.

  6. 2011 SLV Cabernet Sauvignon, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars

A single vineyard, estate grown wine from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, the winery which put California on the wine map in 1976 when it beat Bordeaux’s best in a blind tasting competition which became known as the Judgement of Paris. The fruit for this Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from the SLV Vineyard, one of the great sites in the Napa Valley; the ripe, complex grapes add vibrant chocolate-covered cherry aromas along with notes of roasted chestnuts, black tea with clove spice. The wine has a lovely core of red berry fruit along with rich tannins and a haunting cardamom note on the finish. The wine’s solid, well-balanced structure makes this an ideal choice for long term ageing.

  7. 2013 Vidal Icewine, Peller

    2013 Vidal Icewine, Peller

    (12x37.5cl)

A gold yellow colour with an aromatic bouquet of lemon marmalade, carmelized oranges, golden pineapple and a touch of honey. A rich, medium to full-bodied wine with explosive flavours of honey, golden pineapple, star anise and brown sugar. Sweet citrus and star fruit linger on the finish.

  8. 2011 The Stump Jump Cabernet Sauvignon, d'Arenberg

Sweet crème de cassis and mulberry, aromatic violets with a twist of blackcurrant leaf, if you were in any doubt as to the wines varietal provenance. Shows beautifully elegant on the palate but still offers plenty of dark, sweet fruits. The mint and leafy notes work as a nice counter point to the more luscious mulberry fruit. The cedary notes and fine grained tannin draw the wine to a long and focused finish. Primary, balanced and vibrant in youth, this wine is as appealing now as it will no doubt be in 3-5 years.

  9. 2013 Le Notaire Carignan Rosé

    2013 Le Notaire Carignan Rosé

    (6x75cl)

Pale pink in the glass with a nose of fresh strawberries. Light and moreish on the palate with excellent balance.

  10. 2011 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir, Domaine Louis Michel

Clear straw colour, with fresh apple and mineral aroma notes, full and rich. Crisp and ripe on the palate, fresh-fruit flavors follow the nose, clean and very long. An impressive wine.
