  1. 2009 Haven Pinot Noir, Kooyong

Spicy, smokey, gamey aromas, leavened in the mouth with hints of anise and heather over succulent black cherry fruit. Well-structured, with richness and a warm, enveloping texture.

  2. 2013 El Viento Merlot, Viña Leyda

Medium-bodied red with ripe and juicy blackcurrant and plum flavours.

  3. 2011 Touriga Nacional, Quinta do Crasto

The wine shows a youthful toasty, smoky bouquet with intense, spicy fruit characters. The palate is long and focused and very elegant, with ripe concentrated fruit and well integrated oak, good balance and fine structured tannins.

  4. 2011 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Poliziano

A well structured wine with an intense perfume of juicy, ripe fruit and a rich palate, with just the right amount of tannin.

  5. 2013 Carignan Vin de France, La Cadence

A bright cherry red colour packed with red berry aromas and hint of nutmeg. The palate is full-bodied and fruity.

  6. 2011 Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon Bonarda Corte A, Vistalba

A nose that walks the line between floral and rich earthy aromas, incorporating scents of prunes and later dark black cherry as the wine opens up. In the mouth the wine is huge, brooding and deep with flavours of cassis and black cherry.

    2010 Barolo Mosconi, E. Pira

    (6x75cl)

"The 2010 Barolo Mosconi, the estate's first wine from this south-facing site in Monforte, is showing beautifully today. In this cold, late-ripening vintage, the south exposition and richness typical of this site give the Mosconi a level of mid-palate pliancy and richness the other 2010 Barolos don't have. Mosconi has never given Barolos of finesse or elegance, but this is just about as good as it gets. 95 points", Antonio Galloni

  8. 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, Long Meadow Ranch

The nose has notes of blackberries, the briar patch, cedar, dried herbs and a hint of smoky black tea. The palate is structured and refreshingly generous with additional flavors of dried plums, cherry and cola. The well-knit tannins and pleasant mouthwatering acidity support a persistent finish laced with rich notes of cedar and vanilla.

  9. 2006 The Dead Arm Shiraz, d'Arenberg

Dark fruit and savoury characters leap from the glass, in particular there is liquorice and blackberry, laced with a hint of char.
Complexity in the shape of iodine and soil like notes follow. The wine is powerful and structured.
There is a plethora of sweet fruit character, plums and mulberries, but not a hint of fatness. Rather the wine is quite compact and focused.
A powerful yet refined expression of Shiraz with balance, complexity and persistence.

  10. 2013 Antu Syrah, Ninquén
