  1. 2010 St Aubin 1er Cru En Créot, Domaine Gilles Bouton

Rather like a summer fruit pudding (+cream!) with its red berry fruit characteristics, supple, creamy texture and fresh acidity.

  2. 2008 Gevrey Chambertin En Jouise, Domaine Harmand Geoffroy

The nose at present is fairly typical earthy Burgundian Pinot. It's on the palate, however that the wine's class really shows. Superb richness, freshness and juiciness of fruit. Soft-textured, with great persistence of flavour. Yum! Benefits from decanting.

  3. 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin, Les Evocelles, Domaine Lucien Boillot

The bouquet exudes oak and charm. Rich and mouthfilling with great persistence. The fullness hides the steely core at first. Approachable young but worth keeping.

  4. 2008 Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Dugat

Classic Burgundian Pinot Noir nose of raspberries overlaid with a touch of spiciness. On the palate the wine is medium weight displaying the fresh acidity characteristic of many 2008 Côte de Nuits reds. Tannin structure is firm, but ripe, and there is plenty of pure Pinot fruit flavour to give the wine remarkable on the palate.

  5. 2009 Morey St. Denis, Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut

One of the best last vintages of Burgundy. Ripe fruit and complex nose of small red fruit, lovely soft texture and a mouthfilling finish.

  6. 2009 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers, Domaine Lucien Boillot

Succulent berry fruit and slight vegetal flavours gives way to silky soft tannins and excellent depth and concentration.

  7. 2009 Beaune 1er Cru Les Theurons, Domaine Régis Rossignol Changarnier

Transparent red colour. Musky, chocolaty fruit; slightly mature-smelling. Real development of fruit aroma in the glass over time. On the palate, sweet, delicate fruit, slightly gamey. Excellent length, subtle fruit, light tannin.

  8. 2006 Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Claude Dugat

An aromatic nose of ripe red and black cherries with a touch of underbrush. Very pure with a silky texture and lovely intensity of fruit. Seamless through to the finish.

  9. 2010 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Château de la Charrière

Light ruby red in the glass this shows clean varietal aromas of strawberries, raspberries and a hint of hay. In the mouth it is medium-bodied, with balanced, fresh acidity and light tannins. Basic Burgundy at its best.

  10. 2011 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Domaine Maillard

Pale, ruby red in the glass, this a pure and elegant red wine, displaying classic Pinot Noir aromas of wild strawberries and red currants. Smooth, balanced and very moreish.
