  1. 2012 Côtes du Rhône, Domaine Brusset

Ruby red in colour with enticing aromas of red berry fruits. The palate is round, with subtle flavours of raspberries and other red fruits. The wine is well balanced and the tannins smooth and approachable.

  2. 2010 Old Vine Zinfandel, Bogle Winery

This supple and mouth-filling vintage leads with juicy raspberry and ripe boysenberry fruit. Hints of spiced chocolate integrate well with fruit that is surprisingly luscious and silky on the palate, partnered with black pepper backbone that gives structure and weight. Flavours of toasted oak and pipe tobacco create further structure, allowing this wine to stand up to a variety of hearty fare.

  3. 2009 Nuits St. Georges, Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut

This outstanding wine has a deep ruby red colour and evolved nose of red fruit and spice. Nuits' has a reputation for slightly aggressive tannins but this is not the case here, with wonderfully rounded ripe berry fruit and soft voluptuous tannins. The palate is rich and well balanced, and the finish is extremely long and elegant.

  4. 2012 Rosso IGT Veronese, Sospiro

Bright ruby red colour with a fruity nose redolent of cherries. On the palate this young wine shows fresh red fruits and medium body and structure.

  5. 2011 Chianti, Cecchi

    2011 Chianti, Cecchi

    (12x37.5cl)

Chianti Cecchi is characterised by a red ruby colour, which tends towards granite red when aged. On the nose it is intensely aromatic with notes of violets. On the palate it is well balanced with the classic signature of Chianti which make it such a good match with food.

  6. 2009 Appassito Rosso Veneto

    2009 Appassito Rosso Veneto

    (6x75cl)

Bright garnet red in colour; intense and lingering bouquet with notes of spice and dried fruit. Enveloping, dry flavours, with a moderately robust body and balanced structure.

  7. 2012 Primitivo Salento, Boheme

Starbright ruby red in the glass. Aroma of plums and strawberry jam. Balanced on the palate without any of the excesses of alcohol which sometimes blight this variety.

  8. 2011 Merlot, Montagne Noire, Vin de Pays d'Oc, Foncalieu

Deep in colour with intense aromas of ripe berries and pepper. Welcoming red fruits are detected on the palate accompanied by silky tannins: immensely quaffable and very versatile.

  9. 2006 Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Claude Dugat

An aromatic nose of ripe red and black cherries with a touch of underbrush. Very pure with a silky texture and lovely intensity of fruit. Seamless through to the finish.

  10. 2012 Reserve Cabernet, Tooma River, Warburn Estate

Grown in the warm, sun drenched Australian vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon produces a distinctive, full bodied and generous style. This Reserve Cabernet is a great example, showing luxuriant blackcurrant aromas with hints of mint and delivering a powerful, concentrated palate of ripe blackcurrant and fig flavours, finishing supple and textured.
