  1. 2013 Sauvignon Rueda, Marqués de Riscal

Pale yellow in colour with hints of green. Very complex nose with abundant fruit (lime, grapefruit, passion fruit and melon), green grass and an underlying minerality that adds personality. Crisp palate, medium-bodied with a clean, long lingering finish.

  2. 2013 Estate White, Morgenster

    2013 Estate White, Morgenster

    (6x75cl)

Colour: Beautifully golden, with green hue.
Nose: Starting off ripe and fresh, with notes of apricot, pineapple and litchi, hidden aromas of banana, butter, caramel, and zippy citrus, quince and lime then come to the fore.
Palate: Very well poised, perfectly integrated oaking with balanced ripeness and minerality zing off each other. Melt in the mouth acidity has great staying power and adds a well crafted focus and length.

  3. 2011 Sancerre Blanc, Domaine du Carrou, Dominique Roger

A grassy nose with hints of gooseberries; well balanced palate with a good concentration of fruit and racy acidity.

  4. 2013 Chateau Bonnet White, Les Vignobles Andre Lurton

Clear and brilliant with green highlights. The nose is very aromatic, floral and quite complex. There are also intense pink grapefruit overtones. The wine has a delicious citrus flavour. It is round, but with a vivaciousness that contributes to a fine long aftertast.

  5. 2013 Pecorino Golden Fleece, Umani Ronchi

With an expressive nose of peach, mango and candied rose petals, the wine has a long, full mineral-rich mouth.

  6. 2011 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne, Domaine Gilles Bouton

Intense aromas of apple, pear and zesty citrus fruit combine with creaminess and a notion of minerality. Remarkably concentrated and powerful for a Puligny with intense fruit framed by oak and a pervasive, underlying minerality.

  7. 2009 The Last Ditch Viognier, d'Arenberg

The nose is a heady mix of exotic aromas. White peach and nectarine are infused with candied ginger, spice and honey blossoms.
The palate also displays white stone fruits and apricots mixed with florals, spices and savoury notes.
Whilst typically rich and luscious, the mouthfeel is balanced out by a lovely, flowery, nutty tannin that adds both length and focus.

  8. 2011 Meursault Clos de Mazeray, Domaine Jacques Prieur

Pale lemon yellow with a beguiling nose like walking into a patisserie whilst sniffing a peony. Unbelievable concentration on the palate - premier cru + quality. Textured, with absolutely perfect oaking adding vanilla, texture and weight without dominating. Marzipan and crunchy lemon flavours with beautifully balanced acidity. A powerful wine, with a very characteristic Meursault roundness, but in no way heavy. Finish is lifted and long, with great finesse.

  9. 2012 Faultline Chardonnay, Kooyong

Bright lemon colour. Aromas of white peach and crunchy nectarine, potter’s clay and a hint of leesy funk. The palate is strident and powerful with some apricot fleshiness, the anchoring Faultline clay minerality and the textbook peach skin phenolic drive. Long and impressive.

  10. 2014 Petit Chenin, Ken Forrester Wines

A youthful fresh wine with quince and pear drop flavours. Real freshness on the palate with crunchy green apple and grapefruit flavours. Good mouthfeel and appetisingly tangy finish.
