  1. 2011 Painter Bridge Chardonnay, J. Lohr

Pale yellow in color with attractive aromas of Bosc pear, apple and white flowers, with a touch of vanilla and honey. The aromas are echoed on the silky textured palate, which is cleansed with fresh acidity and richness.

  2. 2011 Sauvignon Blanc, Iona Wines

This wine has a wonderfully aromatic nose showing fine mineral notes, hints of herbs, leaves and a touch of gooseberry fruit. The palate is extremely well balanced with classic sauvignon characters of gooseberry and grapefruit and a long, fine, minerally finish. Very stylish and polished.

  3. 2009 Chardonnay, Falaris Hill Vineyard, Vina Leyda

Falaris Hill Vineyard Chardonnay has a refined and complex nose with ripe citrus character and mineral notes. Subtle oak influence combines with lemon and dry wheat aromas. Fresh and dense in the mouth, with a creamy texture in the mid palate and a lively acidity further back, providing freshness and length to a toasted almonds aftertaste.

  4. 2011 Blanco Rueda, Marqués de Riscal

Brilliant straw colour. Superb example of Verdejo varietal wine with a mixture of tropical fruit aromas and hints of fennel and fresh green grass. Refreshing mouthfeel, full bodied with a slight final bitterness which gives it complexity and the very characteristic personality of wines of this variety.

  5. 2011 Mâcon Charnay Les Chênes, Domaine Manciat-Poncet

Fresh, youthfully ripe aromas of apples and some bready character, the palate is soft and succulent showing grapefruit and mineral flavours with a clean, refreshing finish.

  6. 2005 Riesling Cuvee Frederic Emile. Trimbach

Very attractive already, quite powerful nose. Full bodied wine with intensity, depth and beautiful mineral flavour. Rich, ripe acidity in the palate. Great personality and finesse.

  7. 2010 Chablis 1er Crus Forets, Domaine Louis Michel

Very mineral nose reminiscent of rain on stones on a hot day. Deliciously lemony fresh acidity, with real Chablis mineral typicity without any hint of austerity. Long.

  8. 2010 BJ Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese Trocken, Paulinshof

Straw yellow with a bouquet of orange blossom and lemon rind. On the palate it is dry with powerful minerality, acidity and grapefruit notes. Long, spicy finish.

  9. 2011 Riesling, Trimbach

    2011 Riesling, Trimbach

    (12x37.5cl)

Elegant and classic with grapefruit and white peach on the nose fully integrated into a food-friendly structure. The drivers are minerality and a crisp lemony acid backbone leading in to a long finish.

  10. 2009 Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières, Domaine François Mikulski

Concentrated, ripe and intriguingly complex on the nose. It releases a cocktail of tropical fruits among its toasted hazelnut and fresh bready aromas. It's full bodied too, filling the mouth with bags of melon and pineapple fruit with hints of bananas all underpinned with a stylish grapefruity acidity and a sumptuously silky finish.
