Generous toasted almond nose with overtones of honey. Full bodied and very complex in the mid palate with a silky, glycerol texture intertwined with ripe fruit and buttery oak and a clean, mineral finish.

  2. 2010 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières, Jean Louis Chavy

Straw colour, with medium-strong nose of butter, minerals and toasty vanilla-wood aromas.Mouthfilling and complex, refreshing acidity. Full bodied, lovely use of oak and crisp acidity, this is a particularly well balanced wine. Good length, pleasant finish.

  3. 2008 Montagny 1er Cru Les Coères, Domaine Bernollin

Brilliant gold with a hint of green. At first it shows crisp mineral notes on the nose, but after aeration it gains complexity and exotic fruit characteristics. A powerful, elegant and rich wine with bagfuls of character. Over the years it will open up to reveal honeyed, buttery and smoky notes.

  4. 2012 Footprint Chenin Blanc Semillon, African Wines

    2010 Gewurztraminer, Trimbach

    (12x37.5cl)

If you are expecting a heavy lychee-richness you will be surprised by the incredibly pure fresh and grapey nose of this Alsace classic. The palate is dry, but extremely full bodied, with a gorgeous mouthfilling texture leading into a lifted peppery finish.

  6. 2011 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc, Domaine Chante Cigale

Hauntingly fragrant, reminiscent of almond and peach blossom. The palate is a wonderfully smooth, silky textured balance of dried apricot fruit and fresh appley acidity.

    2011 Chardonnay Organic, Soleus

    (6x75cl)

Deep straw yellow in colour with rich tropical fruits such as pinneapple, peaches and pears on the nose. The palate is medium bodied with juicy tropical fruit flavours akin to the nose (pineapple, peach and citrus). this wine has a refreshing nature and a lingering finish.

  8. 2007 Gewurztraminer Reserve, Trimbach

With its years of bottle age, this wine has taken on a medium gold colour in the glass and the nose shows complex development as the primary lychee fruit segues into beeswax and camomile. In the palate there are lush lemons and mouthfilling grapiness, tropical fruit and a hint of smoke.

  9. 2009 Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes, Domaine François Mikulski

An outstanding Meursault with a deep straw colour, an amazingly complex nose of gun smoke and flint and toasted nuts. The palate is wonderfully rich and complex with elements of cream toasted nuts and more flint and smoke. The finish is wonderfully, long complex and impressive.

  10. 2006 Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile Trimbach

Very attractive, quite powerful nose. Full bodied wine with intensity, depth and beautiful mineral flavour. Rich, ripe acidity in the palate. Great personality and finesse.
