  1. 2013 Koshu, 'Sol Lucet', Kurambon Wine

    This is a refreshing, delicate and dry wine using Japan’s distinctive Koshu grapes. Very pale in colour, it has lively acidity that is well balanced with the fruit characters of green apple, which comes through towards the finish. The main characteristics of this wine, the Japanese citrus notes of “Kabosu” and “Yasu”, fully express the distinctive character of the Koshu grape.

    Pale green-gold in colour. The vibrant nose shows lifted lemon blossom, gooseberry, melon and grassy aromas. The palate is delicate yet rich with layers of flavours, good balance, and finishing crisp and long.

    Pale lemon with green hues. Stone fruit, honeysuckle and spice dominate the nose. the palate is rich and textured, showing varietal definition with notes of pepper and spice, which integrate well with fine acidity, that provides a backbone to the wine.

    Intense aromas of apple, pear and zesty citrus fruit combine with creaminess and a notion of minerality. Remarkably concentrated and powerful for a Puligny with intense fruit framed by oak and a pervasive, underlying minerality.

  7. 2013 Pandora Medium Dry, Shawsgate

    This light spritzy wine is full of ripe fruit whose complexities are subtly disguised by an elegant palate of light melon, orange, pineapple and grapefruit. The palate has a good strength of tropical fruit flavours beneath a soft rounded acidity, with lingering grapefruit to give length.

    Light, elegant soft fruit nose. Fine citrus and herbaceous notes. Pure acidity holds the wine together very well and the finish is precise and long. An incredible clean, fresh and impressively well balanced Pouilly Fume.

    Val delle Rose Litorale Vermentino is produced by the Cecchi family in Maremma, a land where the warm Tuscan sun and cooling sea breezes emphasise the unique characteristics of this classic indigenous grape. The distinct floral aromas, with hints of brininess, give way to juicy lemon citrus and a salty tang on the thirst quenching palate. This generous, intense wine is an ideal match for full flavoured fish dishes, cooked straight from the sea.
