    2008 Chardonnay, Xanadu

    (6x75cl)

An elegant bouquet of fresh pears, citrus and white fleshed stone-fruit characters with underlying hints of oatmeal, nougat and roasted almonds. The palate is full bodied offering ample nectarines, pears and zesty lemony flavours. There is a lovely complexity with a creamy texture derived from lees stirring and grilled nuts in the background; the taught mineral structure, bright fruit and crisp acidity combine to focus the wine perfectly to a dry, persistent fruit finish.

  2. 2011 Viognier Reserve, Bodegas Santa Ana

Santa Ana Viognier Reserve has a bright golden colour with green hues. Aromas of stone fruits with an alluring complexity of toasted bread and vanilla notes. Rich and full palate with a hint of sweetness balanced by a racy acidity on the finish.

  3. 2010 Marsanne, Montagne Noire, Vin de Pays d'Oc, Foncalieu

A clean, round and opulent wine with a subtle creamy texture. It is rich in ripe peach and pear flavours balanced beautifully with a refreshing grapefruit twist.

  4. 2012 Tormentoso Chenin Blanc Reserve, Man Vintners

Intense aromas of apricots and canned white peaches with touches of coconut cream. The palate is packed with ripe yellow fruit and other tropical flavours, with balanced, refreshing acidity and a long mineral finish.

    2010 Riesling, Carrick Winery

    (12x75cl)

Aromatically there are orange blossoms, honeysuckle and jasmine. On the palate it's a real citrus fiesta with sweet lemon, limes and mandarins. There is also an element of minerality about the wine with subtle notes of stone fruit and almonds. The sugar acid balance is described as 'off dry' and the finish is clean making this a good aperitif and food wine.

  6. 2008 Corton Blanc Grand Cru, Domaine Maillard Père et Fils

Upfront vanilla, creamy butter, nougat, macadamia and toasted almonds are intertwined with opulent tropical fruits and spices on the nose. The palate is packed with racy minerals, peaches, apples and tropical fruits, nutty, fresh baked bread and buttery oak influenced structure. Balancing, rounded acidity draws out the finish into a persistant length that makes for an addictive combination.

This Pedro-Jimenez exhibits a delicious balance of peachy lusciousness with crispness and length, which allows this wine to be enjoyed with a variety of foods or on its own.

  9. 2011 Mariona Alicante Blanco, Artiga

Intensely perfumed and seductive with a range of exotic aromas and flavours of lychee, jasmine, rosewater and mango. It's big yet elegant, perfumed yet dry and very complex.
