  1. 2009 Cliff Edge Riesling, Mount Langi Ghiran

Uplifted lemon / citrus aromas and a flinty, dry palate with excellent balance and a long, clean finish.

  2. 2011 Vermentino, Domaine la Provenquière

Clean, citrus nose with fresh pear, and hints of herb and spice. In the mouth the same citrus fruits are apparent, as well as some herbal touches (cinnamon), and a zesty mineral edge, which makes for an extremely clean finish, showing great fruit.

  3. 2011 Julius Riesling, Henschke

    2011 Julius Riesling, Henschke

    (6x75cl)

Green-gold in colour. The nose is fragrant, perfumed and floral with citrus blossom and zest, sherbet and slatey minerality. An intensely layered yet delicate palate imparts balance, depth and length following up with a crunchy/crisp acid finish.

  4. 2011 Vermentino di Maremma IGT, Tenuta di Belguardo

Medium lemon yellow in the glass, this wine is full-bodied and full of tropical fruits, vanilla and yellow peach, all kept fresh with a seam of textured minerality.

  5. 2010 Pouilly Fumé Triptyque, Alain Cailbourdin

Light, elegant soft fruit nose. Fine citrus and herbaceous notes. Pure acidity holds the wine together very well and the finish is precise and long. An incredible clean, fresh and impressively well balanced Pouilly Fume.

  6. 2007 Pinot Gris Réserve Personnelle, Trimbach

Toasted nuts, marzipan and salinity underscore the peach and apple fruit here. A hint of honey adds nobility and relatively high acidity adds primary juiciness in the long, fascinatingly smoky, nutty, and mineral finish.

  7. 2011 Chardonnay delle Venezie IGT, Veritiere

This deliciously complex wine displays full, fresh pineapple and melon characters on the palate. The wine has lots of appeal, rather more like a New World Chardonnay than a typical Old World style, but doesn't sacrifice style for obvious fruit.

  8. 2011 Viognier VDF, Domaine Cuilleron

This is an aromatic wine, with delicate floral notes and hints of apricot; fresh and dry.

  9. 2011 Deidesheimer Mäushöhle, von Buhl

Pale lemon yellow with piercing mineral aromas and crisp, ripe fruit on the nose. It is pure on the palate, with no oak and refreshing minerality; it manages to be mouthfilling without a hint of heaviness and has a long finish.

  10. 2011 Exmoor Drive Chardonnay, Xanadu

Aromas of grapefruit, ripe pear and white stone fruit with underlying toast and nuts. The palate is full of juicy fruit, roasted nuts and a creamy complexity lifted by refreshing acidity and a persistent, fruit driven finish.
