  1. 1974 Vintage Bas Armagnac, Castarede

The 1979 has a delicate nose with hints of perfume. It has aromas of fruits like peach and prune. It is extremely long in the mouth with lots of fruit character and a hint of spice.

  2. 2013 Merlot del Veneto, Via Nova

Fresh and fragrant on the nose with abundant red cherry and plummy characteristics. The palate is medium bodied with crunchy red berry fruits, fine balance and a clean, fruit driven finish.

  3. 2010 Credo Chenin Blanc, Stellenbosch

Rich straw colour with a golden tint. Honey, pineapple and treacle on the nose give way to intense butterscotch and tropical flavours on the palate. Beautifully balanced acidity and careful use of French oak complete this wine of rare distinction.

  4. 2011 Mas Fenouillet Rouge, Faugeres

Dark ruby with red fruits, spice and a hint of Mediterranean "garrigue" herbiness. Well structured and elegant palate with melting tannins and a long, spicy finish.

  5. 2009 Côte Rôtie, Les Terres Sombres, Domaine Yves Cuilleron

Intensely purple/black in colour, almost opaque. The nose is a concentrated wall of spices, mineral tones and dark berry fruits. Deeply concentrated, tight and seriously well structured, the palate is immense in its breadth and length showing a wealth of blackberry, fruits of the forest and spiced, wooded flavours. The firm finish means you won't forget this one easily.

  6. 2012 Mountain Red, Thelema

    2012 Mountain Red, Thelema

    (6x75cl)

Spicy aromas of black pepper and mulberry mingle with the plum flavours in this soft and approachable wine.

  7. 2011 Château des Gravières, Collection Prestige, Graves

Deep garnet-red with a slightly woody and toasted nose and aromas of prunes and liquorice. Fleshy, robust and well-balanced in the mouth with a firm, lengthy finish.

  8. 2011 The High Trellis Cabernet Sauvignon, d'Arenberg

Cooler years in McLaren Vale always lead to incredibly expressive and highly varietal Cabernets.
The High Trellis is no exception with an abundance of blackcurrant, violets and minty notes leaping from the glass.
Beautiful bright purple fruits dominate the palate, countered by typical Cabernet characters such as red capsicum skin and fresh mint.
The wine feels quite linear at this stage of its development and the combination of fruit and fine chalky tannins seems to go on and on endlessly.
A wine that can be savoured now or allowed to develop for the next five to 10 years.

  9. 2013 Fiagre' IGT Campania Caggiano

On the nose aromas of acacia and tropical fruit with a mineral touch. Intense and elengant flavours of sweet spices, tobacco with delicate toast overtones.

  10. 2012 Old Vine Zinfandel, Bogle Winery

This supple and mouth-filling vintage leads with juicy raspberry and ripe boysenberry fruit. Hints of spiced chocolate integrate well with fruit that is surprisingly luscious and silky on the palate, partnered with black pepper backbone that gives structure and weight. Flavours of toasted oak and pipe tobacco create further structure, allowing this wine to stand up to a variety of hearty fare.
