  1. 2011 The High Trellis Cabernet Sauvignon, d'Arenberg

Cooler years in McLaren Vale always lead to incredibly expressive and highly varietal Cabernets.
The High Trellis is no exception with an abundance of blackcurrant, violets and minty notes leaping from the glass.
Beautiful bright purple fruits dominate the palate, countered by typical Cabernet characters such as red capsicum skin and fresh mint.
The wine feels quite linear at this stage of its development and the combination of fruit and fine chalky tannins seems to go on and on endlessly.
A wine that can be savoured now or allowed to develop for the next five to 10 years.

  2. 2013 Garnacha Blanca, Cop de Ma

  3. 2012 Gewurztraminer, Trimbach
    whitewine

    2012 Gewurztraminer, Trimbach

    (6x75cl)

Full, balanced and very aromatic. Depending on the vintage, the principal aromas of Gewurztraminer are lychee, rose, ginger and geranium. The Trimbach Gewurztraminer is dry and shows classic restraint, without any loss of the Gewurztraminer's exotic and spicy feature.

  4. 2013 Cruz de Piedra Garnacha Rosado, Bodega Virgen de la Sierra

A medium bodied and dry Rose. Fresh and fruity, concentrated strawberry and raspberry flavours, supported by its structure.

  5. 2007 Rosso di Toscana, Siepi, Castello di Fonterutoli

A highly concentrated wine with sweet and dense tannins, it features a unique and original character that is appreciated by wine lovers throughout the world.

  6. 2007 Vintage Fortified Shiraz, d'Arenberg

The nose starts with fine tobacco and dark chocolate mixed with dark fruits and lifted violets. The fine, low-strength brandy spirit plays a wonderful supporting role - selected for its 'tails' character, all juniper berries, spice and fruit and 'hearts' - roses and apricots and brings warmth and richness to the wine. The palate is fine and focussed due to the dry vintage conditions, dark plums, figs and nuts mingle with sandlewood and exotic spices. The tannins are chewy yet fine and there's a linear backbone of acidity to keep it all in check. The finish is long and layered, indicating a long life ahead for those with the patience to give this wine time in their cellar.

  7. 2010 Inferno, Mazer Valtellina Superiore, Nino Negri

Vivid ruby colour, with orange tints; heady bouquet of considerable finesse with hints of plums, mulberries, roses and dried violets, backed by pleasing suggestions of resin and spices (cloves, cinnamon); dry, very savoury, rather tannic flavour with an elegant, lingering aftertaste of toasted hazelnuts.

  8. 2010 Joseph Hill Gewurztraminer, Henschke

Pale gold in colour. Lifted perfumed aromas of lychee, Turkish delight and rose petal with tropical hints. The palate shows perfumed fruits and is sweet and spicy, richly flavoured, a nice
texture with crisp acidity and good length.

  9. 2012 Chianti Classico, Fonterutoli

Dark, richly coloured ruby/garnet. Perfumed nose of black cherry and spice with hints of woodsmoke and tobacco. Full, ripe tannins, integrated acidity and a long finish.

  10. 2013 Rosso IGT Veronese, Sospiro

Bright ruby red colour with a fruity nose redolent of cherries. On the palate this young wine shows fresh red fruits and medium body and structure.
