  3. 2007 Barolo DOCG, Vigna La Rosa, Fontanafredda

The Vigna La Rosa Barolo is harmonious, well-rounded and elegant in taste; its very fine and delicate bouquet is reminiscent of faded roses and, with the ageing process, tends to acquire a pronounced earthy style but with a velvety sort of taste.

  4. 2004 Château Haut Bernat, Puisseguin St Emilion

Merlot dominated, soft, yet structured claret from the 'right banks'. The wine has ripe tannins and excellent fruit concentration, yet elegant.

  5. 2007 Basket Pressed Cabernets, Skillogalee

This Cabernet blend is another dark, rich wine in the Skillogalee tradition, with intense colour and powerful, warm aromas and flavours. The wine is full and soft with sweet, leafy fruit flavours, rich vanillin oak and firm drying tannins on a lingering finish.

  6. 2006 Chianti Classico, Castello di Fonterutoli

Intense, deep purple with a strong ruby hue, rich aromas of ripe fruit are perfectly fused with notes of oak. Powerful structure, dense, rich, and very long, with a range of concentrated fruit flavours such as blackcurrants, mocha, morello cherry and hints of liquorice. A firm, persistant finish.

  7. 2007 Chianti Classico, Castello di Fonterutoli

With an extraordinary combination of power and elegance, it interprets in a unique way the potential for Sangiovese, displaying ripe red berry, blackberry, blackcurrant, vanilla, chocolate and spicy characters alongside a muscular structure and a defiant finish. A real mouthful.

  8. 2007 Barbaresco DOCG, Coste Rubin, Fontanafredda

Barbaresco is a wine which demands attention and respect: for its prestigious history, which is the result of hard work, but above all on account of the splendid sensations it offers in the glass. It has a brilliant garnet-red colour, while the bouquet is complex, with ethereal, spicy overtones on well-balanced wood, intense vanilla, cooked fruit and cinnamon. Its deep, velvety and well-balanced flavour lingers on the palate, confirming the long ageing process which combines lavish nature with great technical skill.

  9. 2008 Rosso di Montalcino, Il Poggione

It has an intense ruby-red colour. It has a concentrated bouquet, composed of sour black cherry, blackcurrant and soft vanilla. On the palate flavours of coffee and black fruit can be found. A fine length with very elegant and soft tannins.

  10. 2008 Château La Tuilerie des Combes, Lussac St. Emilion

Beautifully developed garnet-red in colour. Shows a very ripe nose of concentrated fruits of the forest and a dense palate reminiscent of black cherries and chocolate with pretty notes of liquorice and eucalyptus. The typicaly bordelaise structure is flexible, with soft, rounded tannins that bring a balance and add length to the palate which finishes dry and clean.
