  1. 2012 Chassagne Montrachet Blanc, Domaine Bernard Moreau

Medium lemon yellow in the glass. Fruity nose showing grapefruit, pear, and well-judged oak. On the palate, the finesse and balance of the wine comes through with enlivening acidity and a complex seam of minerality. Old World subtlety and depth at its best.

  2. 2011 Châteauneuf du Pape, Domaine Chante Cigale

Deep ruby in colour with a wonderful nose of spice and dark fruits this is a real winter warmer. The palate is rich and ripe with layers of fruit and spice supported by fine tannins.

  3. 2011 Vouvray Sec, Sylvain Gaudron

Very pale lemon yellow colour. Hints of honey and fresh hay typical of Chenin. Chalky minerality. Backbone of high acidity keeping the wine taut, energetic and fresh.

  4. 2012 Massale Pinot Noir, Kooyong

A pretty purplish crimson colour. The nose speaks of bright red fruits - raspberry and cherry, then violet florals, dried meadow herbs and hints of cherry pip, oak and botanical spices. The palate is attractively brambly with a core of red fruits, fresh acidity, fine, graphite-like tannins and a savoury edge which balances the fruit. This wine is approachable when young yet shows potential for further improvement with careful cellaring.

  5. NV Grappa Monovitigno Picolit Cru 50%, Nonino

Considered “the Queen of Grappa” all over the world, for the temper, the harmony and the emotion it gives at every sip. Limpid and crystalline, it recalls to the nose the smell of
fresh honeycomb, it displays the scent of acacia flowers, ripe quince, fresh muscatel and newly picked figs. In one’s mouth it clearly confirms the nose with the addition of a taste of bread crust.

  6. 2014 Merlot, De Gras

    2014 Merlot, De Gras

    (6x75cl)

Intense, deep red in colour with an explosively fruity, varietal nose of ripe plums with fresh mint notes. The palate is mouth filling, with ripe raspberries and blackcurrants on the palate. Shows a firm structure, with good depth and soft tannins, a distinctly Chilean style.

  7. 2011 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Champs-Perdrix, Alain Michelot

Beautiful dark red colour; rich concentration of fresh raspberries and black cherries, coupled with violet and earthy mineral notes.

  8. NV The Nostalgia Rare, d'Arenberg

In the glass it’s a burnished bronze with an alluring rim of olive – illustrating the great age of some of the parcels that have gone into this wine.
The nose is at first a cascade of walnuts toasted almonds and rancio (drying, mature complex oak character).
It then opens up to dried fruits, pears and apples with a sprinkling of cinnamon spice, further inspection gives up toffee, dried figs and burnt butter.
The palate is very lively, tingling with spice and lift – a fantastic balance of freshness and age, the sweetness kept in check by the rancio.
It’s complex, layered and focused with a silky mouthfeel and great lingering length.

  9. NV Are You Game? Sparkling Brut, Fowles Wine

A delicate straw colour. Aromas of strawberries and apples with some subtle savoury notes. This wine is light and fresh with a fine bead and some yeasty complexity.

  10. 2012 Côtes du Rhône Cairanne Les Travers, Brusset

A deep garnet colour with youthful purplish hints at the rim. It has a fresh spicy nose with aromas of Christmas cake and mulled wine. On the palate it is concentrated and very elegant with fine spicy concentrated red and black fruits, soft tannins, and real elegance on the finish.
