  1. 2008 Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Dugat

Classic Burgundian Pinot Noir nose of raspberries overlaid with a touch of spiciness. On the palate the wine is medium weight displaying the fresh acidity characteristic of many 2008 Côte de Nuits reds. Tannin structure is firm, but ripe, and there is plenty of pure Pinot fruit flavour to give the wine remarkable on the palate.

  2. 2007 Gevrey-Chambertin, Lavaux St. Jacques 1er Cru, Domaine Dugat

Intense and complex nose of ripe red fruits, spice and a hint of earthiness. This is the epitomy of elegance. Silky, fine tannins frame the richness of the fruit perfectly and the fresh acidity brings harmony and balance to this extraordinary wine. Very fine indeed.

  3. 2009 Beaune, 1er Cru Clos du Roi, Domaine J & H Boillot

A delicious mouthful of Pinot Noir. Ripe, rich, smoky black cherry, game, leather spice and mocha notes are evident in its detailed intricate personality. Long, smooth, persistent finish.

  4. NV Bag in Box, Inycon Rosso, Settesoli

A medium bodied red wine with ripe fruit characters with soft, well-rounded tannins and a concentrated finish.

  5. NV Sangiovese Poggio della Quercia IGT Rubicone, Contri

Bright ruby red in the glass with aromas of forest fruits, a medium bodied palate and a delicious food-friendly freshness.

  6. 2008 Beaune 1er Cru Les Theurons, Domaine Régis Rossignol Changarnier

Transparent red colour. Musky, chocolaty fruit; slightly mature-smelling. Real development of fruit aroma in the glass over time. On the palate, sweet, delicate fruit, slightly gamey. Excellent length, subtle fruit, light tannin.

  7. 2008 Volnay 1er Cru, Domaine Régis Rossignol Changarnier

Savoury but with intense fruit that opens up with aeration. Slight element of mineral/gritty character displayed by the village level Volnay. Greater intensity of fruit, which persists excellently on the palate, and balanced, fine-grained tannin. Smokey/savoury character on finish. Superb.

  8. 2011 Beaujolais Villages, Louis Tête

Light purple in colour, with a elegant, fresh intense nose of soft red fruits. The palate is equally open and fleshy with lots of fruit and little tannin. Wonderfully soft and accessible, plenty of character backed by good balancing acidity.

  9. 2011 Fontegaia Castelli Romani Rosso, San Marco

A bright ruby, red wine with purple reflections. Fruity and pleasant on the nose with a balanced dry and enjoyable finish.

  10. 2010 Pinot Noir, Mansion House Bay

Bright plum and cherry fruit flavours, cedar and oak spice together with underlining earthy and game complexities on the nose. A medium bodied wine with a svelte, velvety texture, supporting dark berry fruit flavours and a soft, fine finish.
