  1. 2008 Realda Cabernet Sauvignon IGT, Anselmi

Classic hints of cassis and cedar on the nose. On the palate the tannins are ripe but firm providing a wonderful structure which supports blackcurrant fruit and balanced acidity. The depth and concentration of this wine mark it out as a real classic.

  2. 2010 Crozes Hermitage Rouge, Domaine Combier

Spectacularly deep and dark in colour with an almost silky sheen. The nose is a complex melange of fruit, secondary aromas like tar and leather and a touch of spicy oak. This is echoed on the palate. The tannins are firm but ripe and elegant and the finish is extremely long and fine.

  3. 2008 Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Dugat

Classic Burgundian Pinot Noir nose of raspberries overlaid with a touch of spiciness. On the palate the wine is medium weight displaying the fresh acidity characteristic of many 2008 Côte de Nuits reds. Tannin structure is firm, but ripe, and there is plenty of pure Pinot fruit flavour to give the wine remarkable on the palate.

  4. 2007 Gevrey-Chambertin, Lavaux St. Jacques 1er Cru, Domaine Dugat

Intense and complex nose of ripe red fruits, spice and a hint of earthiness. This is the epitomy of elegance. Silky, fine tannins frame the richness of the fruit perfectly and the fresh acidity brings harmony and balance to this extraordinary wine. Very fine indeed.

  5. 2006 Nuits St. Georges Les Damodes, Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut

Pure Pinot Noir with a wonderfully perfumed nose. The palate offers great structure and concentration with ripe, subtle fruit and fine tannins. This is a wine that can be savoured now but that will also last for many years to come.

  6. 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, Le Vigne

Displays a lovely clean and leafy blackcurranty nose. The palate is medium bodied, soft and juicy with those blackcurrants again and has a crunchy, clean finish.

  7. 2009 Pinot Noir, Mansion House Bay

Bright plum and cherry fruit flavours, cedar and oak spice together with underlining earthy and game complexities on the nose. A medium bodied wine with a svelte, velvety texture, supporting dark berry fruit flavours and a soft, fine finish.

  8. 2008 Bourgogne Rouge, Domaine Dugat

The nose shows lovely ripe cherries with some nice herbiness. Richly fruited palate, soft and full, with firm tannins, appropriate acidity, spicy elements and great balance. An attractive wine all round.

  9. 2009 1860 Tempranillo, Marqués de Riscal

A black-cherry coloured wine with slight violet hues. High aromatic intensity, with aromas of ripe dark fruit, fine smoked notes with toasted aromas coming through. On the palate it is meaty and crisp, with a presence of well-polished tannins. Moderate acidity, with a long, pleasant finish in which the oak can be detected more distinctly.

  10. 2009 Belguardo Rosé IGT Toscana, Mazzei

Beautiful light cherry red in the glass and rose petals on the nose. In the mouth there is a poised balance of acidity, alcohol and body, and the short period in wood adds to mouthfeel, structure and complexity, without overwhelming the succulent red fruit characteristics.
