  1. 2012 Pradalupo Roero Arneis DOC, Fontanafredda

he bouquet is reminiscent of exotic fruits, matured peers, hawthorn and acacia honey. In the mouth is warm, velvety, sweet with a nice acidity level, giving the wine freshness and long lasting aftertaste.

  2. NV Lot 53 XO, Cognac Tesseron

Mahogany in colour this cognac hits first with a heady aromatic tang which gives way to more subtle hints of wood, dried fruits and tobacco. On the palate pepper and spices are in the fore front before revealing dark chocolate and fresh herbs. This cognac is opulent, rounded and complex with very good length.

  3. 2012 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers, Domaine Lucien Boillot

Succulent berry fruit and slight vegetal flavours gives way to silky soft tannins and excellent depth and concentration.

  4. 2012 Malbec Reserva, Vina Falernia

Rose petal, violet, white pepper aromas. Bright palate with succulentblackberries and spiced game finish. Lush and very pure.

  5. 2011 Chassagne-Montrachet, Joseph Drouhin

A generous wine of texture and finesse. Gingerbread.

  6. 2013 Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Planeta

Aromas of green cape gooseberry, green and ripe tomato, white peppercorns, sweet basil and celery. Tastes of tomato, bitter greens, rocket and raw globe artichoke and nuts on the finish. A late taste of green peas. Balanced, complex and harmonious.

  7. 2011 Ferrous Pinot Noir, Kooyong

A darker and more restrained nose than the Meres. Rather than a panoply of mixed fruits, this is more dense and complex, with smoked meats, blueberry, ironstone, black olive, and a touch of Chinese five spice. A singular style with an exciting range of flavours. Tannins are quite firm on the back palate at the moment, and will soften with age.

  8. 2009 Gevrey Chambertin En Jouise, Domaine Harmand Geoffroy

The nose at present is fairly typical earthy Burgundian Pinot. It's on the palate, however that the wine's class really shows. Superb richness, freshness and juiciness of fruit. Soft-textured, with great persistence of flavour. Yum! Benefits from decanting.

  9. NV Brut Mosaïque, Champagne Jacquart

A light, golden yellow colour with fine, long-lasting bubbles. The bouquet is lovely and fresh with fruity grape and pear hints mingling with intense notes of bread crust. Fresh and rather powerful on the palate creating a balanced overall impression with a lovely, long-lasting finish; spice bread and fruit flavours.

  10. 2013 Les Granges de Félines Grenache Merlot, Domaine de Belle Mare

A blend of Merlot, Grenache and Syrah, this is fresh and fruity with red berry and cherry character and a clean, fruity finish. If you're after an easy quaffing, well made, fruity red this is the one.
